WBJEEB modifies DoB criteriaWest Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has released a notice for the corrected Date of Birth criteria. As per it, the candidates who are born on or after January 01, 2001 are not eligible to participate in WBJEE 2017. Earlier, in the information brochure, it was mentioned that the candidates who are born on or after January 01, 2000 are ineligible. However, realising the error the Board rectified it.

The Application Form for WBJEE 2017 was released on January 18, 2017. The Board specified that only the eligible candidates should apply for the examination. The corrected WBJEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria allows more candidates to apply for the exam. Initially, the candidates who were born on or after Jan 01, 2017, could not apply. However, now they may submit the application form.



The official notice released by the WBJEEB for the modified Date of Birth criteria is as below

wbjee notice for eligibilityFor WBJEE 2017, the candidates can apply until February 04, 2017. the last date to submit the application fee is also the same. Candidates will be able to make corrections in the application form from February 6 to 8, 2017. The properly registered candidate may download the admit card from April 12, 2017.

WBJEE 2017 will be held on April 23, 2017, in 22 cities. Almost, 104 institutes and colleges will participate in the exam and will offer approx. 36000 B.Tech and B.E seats.
