The UPSEE 2015 Exam Analysis:
We interviewed numerous entrants, who wrote the exam today, and surprisingly received mixed response. Highlights of the question paper, as per the students, are as below:
- 90% of the entrants agreed that Mathematics section was fairly easy
- Again, uniform agreement was received regarding the Physics section, which was defined as difficult.
- While, for the Chemistry section, some candidates stated that it was unexpectedly tough. However, many rate the section as moderate.
The Physics and Mathematics sections are always anticipated to be tough and the candidates expect to find solace in Chemistry section. However, in the case of UPSEE 2015, the saving subject took the candidates by surprise. Anju Nath, on of the entrant, found the section very tough and has shifted her hopes on other two sections.
“I was taken a back by the questions in Chemistry section. I was not at all prepared for such a high level. Earlier, I was convinced that Physics and Mathematics section will be tough but now I think these two sections will tow the boat to the safe edge.” – Anju Nath
Another candidate who do not wish to disclose their identity stated, “Chemistry section was definitely tough but I think Physics section was the toughest. But I agree that we all underestimated Chemistry”
Even after such unexpected course of events, candidates are not completely downhearted. “Yes, I know the examination was not as we expected but then life can never be as you want it to be. So I am hoping for the best. Also, the examination for architecture is due. I hope to do better in that one” said Kartikey (an entrant)
The Aptitude Test for Architecture will also be held today, from 2:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be cloven in section for Mathematics & Aesthetic Sensitivity (Part-A) and Drawing Aptitude (Part B)
