UPSEE 2014 Analysis of Question Paper

UPSEE 2014 has been conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow on April 20, 2014. The online test for UPSEE 2014 would be conducted on April 27, 2014. UPSEE 2014 is conducted for admissions to Government-aided and Private Unaided institutions affiliated to UPTU, and also some other State Universities of Uttar Pradesh. UPSEE 2014 would be conducted for the session 2014–15.

The following is a detailed analysis of the question papers of UPSEE 2014:

  • It is conducted for eight (8) papers
  • In question paper 1, a total of 150 objective-type questions are asked, 50 each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • In paper 2, a total of 150 objective-type questions are asked, 50 each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • In paper 3, a total of 150 objective-type questions are asked, 50 each of AG-I, AG-II and AG-III
  • In paper 4, a total of 100 objective-type questions are asked, 50 each of Mathematics and Aesthetic Sensitivity. In addition, two questions are asked to test candidates’ drawing aptitude
  • For papers 5 to 8, 75 objective-type questions are asked for each paper
  • Marks for papers 1 to 3 are 600 each
  • Marks for paper 4 are 400
  • Marks for papers 5 to 8 are 300 each
  • In B.Tech., marks obtained in Mathematics are given the first preference, then Physics and lastly Chemistry. This preference is used to prepare the merit list, in case more than one student have scored the same marks
  • In B.Pharma, marks obtained in Biology are given the first preference, followed by Chemistry and Physics
  • In B.Arch., marks obtained in Drawing Aptitude are given the first preference, followed by Mathematics and Aesthetics Sensitivity
  • In B.Tech. (Ag.Engg.), marks obtained in AG-I are given the first preference, followed by AG-II and AG-III
  • Candidates with higher age are given higher merit
