Updated JEE Advanced 2015 Information Brochure Released, 4 New IITs Joined the League


Joint Admission Board (JAB) has released an updated JEE Advanced 2015 information brochure (3.0 version). Various modification, as well as, editorial alteration has been done in it. Details of the updates are given below.

The most notable modification is in the important dates, for few events of the exam. Issuance of admit card was earlier due from 9 to 4 May 2015. However, now it will be issued on 11 May and candidates will be able to avail it till 14 May 2015 only. Within this duration, candidates may also report the discrepancies in the admit card. Also, the online display of the ORS was due from 3 to 5 June 2015 but now the ORS will be available till 6 June 2015. Apart form this, the online choice filling can be done from 25 to 29 June 2015, instead of, from 26 to 30 June 2015. The date for 1st and 2nd round of counselling were 2 and 10 July, respectively, but now it will be held on 1 and 7 July 2015.

It is also informed, through the updated brochure, that IIT Goa, IIT Chhattisgarh, IIT Palakkad, and IIT Tripura will also grant admission to JEE Advanced 2015 qualifiers. Earlier, only sixteen IITs were participating in the examination. But, now twenty IITs will consider the exam for the admission.

Conducting body has also reported that in the exam, which will be held in offline mode, only in few questions negative marking will be accounted. The JEE Advanced 2015 will be held on 24 May 2015. Candidates will be able to register for it from 2 to 7 May 2015. The registration can be done online only, from the official website. The registration fee, for the Male and Other category candidates will be Rs. 2000. While, the same for the female aspirants will be Rs. 1000.
