Syllabus of Paper 6 –For candidates holding diploma:
The paper consists of 75 marks with 75 questions in it. The candidates have to solve the paper within 150 minutes. The syllabus of the paper 6 for the candidates, who are holding a diploma and want to get enter in B. Tech. course in the 2nd year through lateral entry, is shown below.

Syllabus of Paper 8 –For candidates holding B.Sc. degree:
The paper 8 also consists of 75 marks with 75 questions in it. The time is also same i.e. 150 minutes. The aspirants holding B.Sc. degree can also get admission in the B. Tech. course. The syllabus of UKSEE 2016 for paper 8 is shown below.

The syllabus of both the exams is of the aptitude knowledge. The paper 6 mostly asks the questions to check the basic engineering knowledge and the paper 8 asks the questions from the quantitative aptitude and mathematics from the previous degree.
