1) JEE Main
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is the most coveted national level exam of the country. JEE Main is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) annually for admission into B.Tech/B.E. and B.Arch./B.Planning programmes offered by the NITs, IIITs, IITs, GFTIs and other private institutes. JEE Main is also the first stage for admission into the prestigious IITs. The top 2 lakh JEE Main qualifiers are shortlisted for appearing in JEE Advanced for admission in the 23 IITs. JEE Main is held in April in offline as well as online mode. Candidates have to attempt multiple choice questions within 3 hours. In 2017, around 11 lakh candidates appeared in the entrance test out of which nearly 8 lakh students qualified for admission at 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, 20 GFTIs and filled nearly 24000 undergraduate engineering seats.
JEE Main Eligibility Criteria– Candidates must have passed class 12 or any other equivalent examination with minimum 75% (65% for reserved category) in aggregate or be in the top 20 percentile.

2) JEE Advanced
JEE Advanced is the second phase of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and around 2 lakh (approx.) top rank holders in JEE Main are selected to appear in the entrance test. JEE Advanced is the gateway for admission into the 23 IITs of the country managed by the seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology. The application form of JEE Advanced will be available online in April. From 2018, JEE Advanced will be held online and it will be conducted by IIT Kanpur.
JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria– To appear in JEE Advanced, candidates must be among 2,00,000 (approx) JEE Main rank holders.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani conducts BITSAT for admission into its three campuses. The examination is of 3 hours duration. It contains objective type questions and is divided into three parts, namely, Chemistry, Physics, English proficiency and logical reasoning. Through BITSAT admission is offered into various B.Tech courses in BITS Pilani, BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad.
BITSAT Eligibility Criteria– Candidate must have passed class 12 or equivalent exam with aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 60% in each.

The VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology every year in April. Through VITEEE score, the university fills an approximate number of 5,000 engineering seats at VIT campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal (MP) and Amaravathi (AP). VITEEE is held in online mode for a total duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates are required to answer 120 objective type questions from Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English. In 2017, around 2,10,000 candidates appeared for the entrance test.
VITEEE Eligibility Criteria– Candidates have to pass class 12 examination with an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (50% for SC/ST/ J&K migrants/ north eastern parts of India).

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination is a university level examination conducted for admission into 7,000 undergraduate engineering seats in 20 B.Tech courses for admissions offered by four SRM University campuses at Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Ramapuram Part-Vadapalani and NCR Ghaziabad. The question paper of SRMJEE consists of objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria– Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. For Delhi-NCR campus the minimum qualifying marks is 55%.
