Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) has joined the league, to follow Joint Admission Counseling (JAC) system, for UG admission in session 2015-16. The confirmation was given by Mr. Ashwani Kansal, Registrar IIITD and Co-ordinator of JAC.
“NSIT has joined the joint e-counselling system for its admission process from the season starting in July, 2015.” assured Mr. Ashwani Kansal.
Indira Gandhi Delhi Technological University for Women (IGDTUW), Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT); the other three counterparts of NSIT are already following the system. However, last year NIST declined the proposal to join JAC. Now, due to undisclosed reasons the college has decided its decision.
Nevertheless, the decision is definitely favorable for the aspirant, as they are now supposed to fill only one application form, for the four colleges. However, candidates will have to fulfill two steps of counselling, which are:
- Online registration and fee payment
- Filling choices for the course and the college
For online registration, a portal will be made functional. Details of it, along application fee will be announced in due course. Whereas, the choice filling should be done carefully, as according to it the admission will be granted.
The JAC is an effort by Government of National Capital Territory (NCT), Delhi, to conduct one counselling for these colleges, as the admission procedure is very similar.
