MHT CET 2017 Seat AllotmentMHT CET 2017 Seat Allotment: The provisional seat allotment of MHT CET for round III of MHT CET seat allotment has been published online. Candidates can check their MHT CET seat allotment through their application number and date of birth. Reporting to the allotted institute for candidates who have been allotted seats in MHT CET 2017 seat allotment process round 3 has begun from July 25 to July 29 to complete seat acceptance process. The Seat Allotment Of MHT CET 2017 is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. The seat allotment of MHT CET round 2 was declared on July 11. The round I of counselling was published on June 28, 2017, by DTE Maharashtra. Only those candidates who have successfully registered for the counselling, verified their documents and filled in their choices are allotted seats. Seat allotment of MHT CET is being done on the basis of the rank of candidates in the merit list of MHT CET 2017 and choice preference. Candidates who registered for counselling after June 18, 2017, are considered for non CAP MHT CET seat allotment only. Through the seat allotment of MHT CET 2017, around 366 institutes in the state of Maharashtra are granting admission to students into various B.Tech programmes. MHT CET 2017 Seat Allotment Process

The counselling and seat allotment is being done carried out by DTE, Maharashtra for candidates who have qualified MHT CET 2017. JEE Main 2017 candidates are also eligible for admission through MHT CET CAP. Online registration for MHT CET counselling was done from June 5 to 18. MHT CET seat allotment result is displayed only for those candidates who have registered, verified their documents and have filled in their choices successfully. The seat allotment process is conducted by DTE Maharashtra for all the three rounds of CAP. MHT CET seat allotment result for CAP round 1 was displayed on June 28, 2017, followed by round 2 seat allotment result on July 10. Seats will be allotted as per candidates’ rank in MHT CET merit list and choice preference.

MHT CET 2017 Seat Allotment- Exercising of Options in CAP Round I

Once the candidates have been allotted seats during MHT CET counselling round I, they have to login and exercise any of the following three options:

Freeze: Candidates who wish to accept the offered seat and they do not want to participate in any further rounds of seat allocation. Such Candidates will not be considered in subsequent rounds of admission

Slide: Candidates who want to accept the offered seat but also seeking admission to an academic program of higher preference offered within the same Institution. Such Candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission;

Float: Candidates who want to accept the offered seat but also seeking upgradation to an academic program of higher preference in any Institution. Such Candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission

Eligibility for MHT CET 2017 Seat Allotment- Round II & III

The seats available for CAP round II and III have been published online. The following candidates are eligible for CAP round II and III MHT CET 2017 seat allotment:

  • Candidates who have not been allotted any seat or did not participate in any of the previous rounds
  • Candidates who have cancelled their admission in the earlier rounds
  • Candidates who have rejected the offered seat by not reporting to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC)
  • Candidates who have selected Freeze option in earlier rounds but want to change their option to Float or Slide in these rounds

MHT CET 2017 Seat Allotment Process- Round II and III

During the MHT CET 2017 seat allotment process of CAP round II and III, candidates have to fill in or edit the already filled online option form. The seat allotment of MHT CET 2017 for these rounds is conducted in the following manner:

  • Before commencement of these rounds, candidates can change their seat acceptance option from Slide or Float to Freeze or vice versa
  • Candidates have to submit an application form at Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) where they earlier confirmed their admission and make a payment of seat acceptance fee
  • Candidates who have opted for Float or Slide and also applying for MHT CET seat allotment CAP II and III do not have to fill in the allotted institution in their choice list. After the upgradation, the earlier allotment automatically gets cancelled
  • Candidates cannot opt for Slide and Float options for the seats allotted in MHT CET counselling round III, as it is the final CAP Round.
  • After the seats are allotted, candidates have to report and accept the offered seat as per the allotment of the CAP Round IV by reporting at the Admission Reporting Centre.
  • Finally, after the final round of MHT CET seat allotment 2017, candidates have to report and confirm their admission by reporting to the allotted institution
