MHT CET 2017 CounsellingMHT CET 2017 Counselling -The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has released the provisional allotment list of MHT CET counselling round 3. Candidates can check the provisional seat allotment status for MHT CET counselling round 3 through their application number and date of birth. Reporting to the allotted Institutete and confirmation of admission for round 3 candidates is conducted from July 25 to 29, 2017. Reporting at the allotted institute Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) was done from July 22 to 24, 2017. Candidates had to fill in their options for MHT CAP 2017 Round 3 latest by July 19. The provisional MHT CET seat allotment for CAP Round 2 was announced on July 10 in online mode. The first round of MHT CET Counselling 2017 was released on June 28, 2017. MHT CET counselling is being carried out as per the candidates’ rank in the merit list which was published on June 23. The online registration for the counselling of MHT CET 2017 was started from June 5 to 18. MHT CET counselling 2017 is being held in three round conducted through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP). DTE Maharashtra has announced the dates for the counselling of MHT CET 2017. Check the entire schedule from the table given below:

Documents Verification for MHT CET 2017 Counselling

It is mandatory for each and every candidate to register themselves for MHT CET counselling, get the documents verified and confirm application form at the designated facilitation centre. The list of documents are as given below:

  • Class X mark sheet and pass certificate
  • Class XII mark sheet and pass certificate
  • Admit Card of MHT CET 2017
  • Score card of MHT CET 2017
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Admit Card and Score card of JEE Main 2017(For candidates applying through JEE Main 2017)
  • Character certificate
  • Migration certificate
  • School leaving certificate
  • Domicile of Maharashtra (if applicable)

The verification of documents and confirmation of application form by candidates belonging to Maharashtra and outside the state have to be done in the following way:

  • Candidates belonging to Maharashtra state/All India have to verify their documents and confirm their application form for admission in person at the designated FC
  • J & K Migrant/NRI/PIO/OCI/CIWGC/FN candidates have to send the print out of online filled & confirmed application form & required documents by hand/speed post/courier for verification & confirmation to the following address:

MHT CET 2017 Counselling Procedure

Candidates have to go through the following steps to successfully register for Counselling of MHT CET 2017:

Step 1. Registration

Candidates have to click on the link above and click on “New Registration” button and then select their nationality. In the registration form for MHT CET counselling, candidates have to enter the following details:

Personal Details

  • Candidate’s name
  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Gender
  • Religion
  • Mother tongue
  • Annual income of family

Communication Details

  • Address
  • Mobile number
  • Email ID

Select Security Question

  • Security question
  • Security answer

Create a Password

Candidates have to follow the rules given below while creating the password:

  • The password must be between 8 to 13 characters
  • It should contain at least one upper and one lower case character
  • It should have at least one number and a special character

Step 2. Candidature Category Details

As per the domicile, applicants have to choose any one of the following categories:

  • Maharashtra (Type A): Candidates who are domiciled/ born in Maharashtra and have qualified class X and XII/ Diploma/ B.Sc. From the state of Maharashtra.
  • Maharashtra (Type B): Candidates whose either of the parent is domicile of Maharashtra state.
  • Maharashtra (Type C): Either of the parents of the candidates must be an employee of the Government of India or undertaking of Indian Government. He/she must have been posted and reported for duty in the state of Maharashtra before the last date of submitting the Application Form of MHT CET 2017 counselling.
  • Maharashtra (Type D): Candidates whose father/ mother is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or state undertaking.
  • Maharashtra (Type E): Candidates must have qualified class X or XII/Diploma/ B.Sc. From a recognised institute situated in a disputed Maharashtra- Karnataka Border Area. The mother tongue of the candidates must be Marathi.

OMS: Candidates who belong to states other than Maharashtra.

  • J&K Migrant: Students who have migrated from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The applicants must be of the following type: J-1 Type/ J-2 Type/ J-3 Type
  • NRI: Candidates who are Non-Resident Indian
  • PIO/OCI: Students who are Persons of Indian Origin or Overseas Citizen of India
  • Foreign Students: Candidates belonging to foreign countries
  • CIWGC: Candidates who are ward of Indian workers in Gulf countries
  • GoI: Applicants who are nominee of Government of India

Step 3. Enter Qualification Details

In this section, candidates have to enter their academic information. They have to enter the subject wise and overall marks obtained in class X and XII or any equivalent exam.

Step 4. Exam Details

At this stage, candidates have to enter exam details of MHT CET 2017/JEE Main 2017 (whichever applicable) through which they are seeking admission.

Step 6. Uploading of Scanned Images

Applicants have to upload their passport size photograph and signature. Before uploading, candidates must ensure that the images are clear and identifiable. Candidates must click on the ‘Preview’ button and check the images before uploading. The specification of the images are as given below:

Step 7. MHT CET 2017 Counselling Fee

Candidates who have registered and appeared in MHT CET 2017 are not required to pay any fee at the time of registration for counselling. However, candidates who are applying through JEE Main 2017 paper 1 score and have not registered for MHT CET 2017 have to pay the admission fee amount at the time of registration.

Candidates have the remit the MHT CET counselling fee online through credit card/debit card/Net banking. The prescribed fee structure is as given below in the table:

Highlights of MHT CET 2017 Counselling

  • Only those candidates whose name is included in the merit list and who have completed all the required formalities can participate in the counselling for admission provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria of MHT CET
  • Candidate can avail IT facilities free of cost available at Facilitation Centre (FC) for submission, confirmation of application form for MHT CET 2017 counselling
  • All FC’s will remain open on all days excluding holidays and Sundays for submission & confirmation of application form during the given schedule between 10:00 am to 5.00 pm
  • If candidates fail to confirm online filled application form at FC, then such applications will be rejected and name of such candidates will not appear in the merit list(s) prepared for the purpose of admission for both CAP as well as Non-CAP process
  • Application received after the last date from candidates belonging to J & K Migrant candidates will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Such Candidates will get the Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement through their login after confirmation of application form
  • Reserved category candidates unable to produce Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate have to submit self-attested Xerox copy of Proforma H on Non Judicial Bond Paper worth Rs. 100. The original copy of the same must be retained by the Candidates to be submitted at the allotted institute while reporting for admission
  • In case, candidates seeking admission under reserved category are unable to produce Caste/Tribe certificate during documents verification phase have to pay difference of fees of Rs. 200 at the FC through online mode
  • Candidates who do not change the options already filled in for CAP round 1 or 2, their already filled in & confirmed options will be considered for allotment in subsequent rounds of MHT CET 2017 counselling
