Today, January 16, 2017, is the last date to submit the Application Form of JEE Main 2017. Candidates who have not submitted the form until now must do so as soon as possible. However, candidates who have submitted the form but not the fee must note that the amount can be remitted until tomorrow, i.e. January 17, 2017.
Candidates who will not submit the form or the fee, in the prescribed format, will not be issued the admit card. The JEE Main 2017 Admit Card will be distributed online, in the 2nd week of March 2017. The candidates must carry it on the exam day, which are April 02 (P&P) and April 08 and 09 (CBT), 2017.
CBSE has already opened the window to remove discrepancies in the scanned images uploaded at the time of filling up the form. To correct the discrepancy in images- Click Here. The candidates will be able to make corrections in the other details from January 25, 2017. The JEE Main 2017 Application Correction window will also be available online. The candidates will be able to change all the details, except switch from CBT mode to P&P.
Instruction to Fill JEE Main 2017 Application Form
Although CBSE will activate the window for correction in the application form, candidates must not take any chances and be very careful while filling up the application form. Candidates have to take the following steps to apply for JEE Main 2017:
Registration: The first step that students will require taking is to create an account by registering for JEE Main 2017. The following particulars must be entered for registration:
- State of Eligibility
- School Board of class 12th/ Qualifying Examination
- Year of Passing or Appearing of Class 12th/ Qualifying Examination
- Roll Number of Class 12th/ Qualifying Examination (If allotted)
- Enter security pin (Case sensitive)
After entering all the particulars mentioned above, click on the “Submit” button.
Filling in the Application Form: Upon successful registration, candidates will be able to fill up JEE Main 2017 Application Form. They have to enter their academic, personal and guardian details.
Upload Scanned Images: After entering all the details mentioned above correctly, applicants have to upload scanned copies of the following images:
- Passport sized photograph of the candidate
- Signature of the candidate
Payment of Examination Fee: Applicants will require paying the application fee in order to validate the form. The payment can be made either through Credit card/ Debit card or through E-Challan.
Generate Acknowledgement Slip: In the last stage, candidates have to download and take a print out of the acknowledgement slip generated by the system. The slip must be retained somewhere safe for future reference.
Candidates must apply for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main within the given period of time. After the last date for the submission of application form, no student will be allowed to apply for JEE Main 2017.
