As per the expert’s view, the overall difficulty level of KVPY 2016 SA was moderate to difficult. Mostly the level of questions in all the subjects was the same. However, Chemistry section was comparatively easier than the Mathematics, Biology and Physics section.

In the SX stream, a little variance could be seen in the difficulty, among the sections. While Physics was the most difficult sections, the chemistry and mathematics sections saved the candidates.

All the questions asked in the examination were of Multiple Choice Type. The candidate had four options for each question and they needed to choose one as their answer. Though there is no fixed syllabus of KVPY, all the questions in the question paper were set keeping in mind the attitude of the students.  Most of it covered basic concepts from class XI and XII syllabus.
