The KEAM 2017 Seat Allotment list is prepared by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. Seats are allotted through Online Counselling with technical help from the National Informatics Centre (NIC). Only those candidates who registered successfully and filled their choices are allotted seats based on their preferences and availability of seats.

Documents required for KEAM 2017 Seat Allotment

Candidates who have been allotted a seat through the counselling of KEAM 2017 have to report before the Principal/Head of the allotted Institution for admission with the following documents:

  • Admit card of KEAM 2017
  • Certificate to prove date of birth
  • Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended and Conduct Certificate
  • Original mark sheet and pass certificate of the qualifying examination
  • Eligibility certificate from any University in Kerala for candidates who have passed a qualifying examination other than Higher Secondary Examination/Vocational Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Government of Kerala/ CBSE/ CISCE
  • Migration Certificate, if applicable
  • Physical Fitness Certificate
  • Fee payment receipt
  • Data sheet of KEAM 2017
  • Allotment Memo issued by the CEE.

KEAM 2017 Seat Allotment Procedure

Online Registration and Choice filling

  • To get a seat in the participating institutes of KEAM 2017 candidates were required to register and fill the choices between June 23 to 28.
  • Once the candidates complete the option entry, they were able to view their options.
  • If the candidate wants to change their options already registered, they may revise the options as desired and ensure that the options list has come as per their preferences.
  • Candidates were advised to take a printout of the registered options and keep it for future reference.

KEAM 2017 Seat Acceptance Fee

After the first round of seat, allotment candidates have to confirm their seats by paying the seat acceptance fee. Candidates can deposit the fee in both online and offline (SBI Challan) mode. Candidates who do not remit the fee on or before the prescribed date will lose their allotted seat those who will submit the fee based on the preferred options. The options once lost will not be available in the subsequent phases.

Scholarship Management will set apart a sum of Rs. 3 lakhs for a batch of 60 students to be provided as scholarship in the form of Tuition Fee Waiver in accordance with GO(Ms)No. 689/2013/H.Edn dated: 16.11.2013.

 

This fee concession benefit will be available to the candidates only after completion of allotment process. Hence candidates should remit the full fee prior to taking admission. Balance fee will be refunded to the candidates.

KEAM 2017 Trial Seat Allotment

The CEE had released the KEAM 2017 trial seat allotment on June 28. Through the trial allotment, candidates got an idea about the chances of getting a seat in the allotted to a course and college based on options and rank of the candidates. However, the trial allotment does not guarantee allotment in a college or course.

Along with the result, the college wise closing rank was also made available by the candidates.

KEAM 2017 Seat Allotment Round I

The Seat Allotment of KEAM 2017 will be done strictly on the basis of marks secured by the candidate.

Admission will be done through allotment of seat in KEAM 2017. Allotments will be first offered in the State Merit (SM) even to the candidates having eligible reservation benefits.

In case, candidates are directed to appear for a personal counseling at any stage of allotment process and a candidate is not able to attend the allotment process on genuine grounds, the parent/guardian or any authorized person can act as a proxy for the risk of the candidate, on production of authorization letter in the form.

KEAM 2017 Seat Allotment Round II

Candidates who receive an allotment should remit the fees to be paid to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations as specified in the second phase allotment memo at any of the designated branches of State Bank of India or by way of Online Payment on any date from July 11 to 14 and should join the course/college allotted before 5 pm on July 14.

KEAM 2017 Seat Acceptance Fee

KEAM 2017 Reporting at the Allotted Institute

Those candidates who have been allotted to various Engineering/ Architecture courses in the State should produce a Physical Fitness Certificate at the time of admission. Candidates allotted to Engineering Courses will have to get vaccinated against Hepatitis-B, before they take admission in the allotted college, as per AICTE guidelines.

KEAM 2017 Spot Seat Allotment

After the completion of KEAM 2017 counselling, a spot allotment round might be held for filling up the remaining vacant seats, if any. Candidates who have been included in the KEAM 2017 rank list and have not been allotted a seat can attend the Spot allotment/admission process. Candidates admitted to a Government Controlled Self Financing College is allowed to participate in Spot Admission for a Government College in any of the programmes.

Candidates who are unable to attend the allotment process on genuine grounds, the parent/guardian or any authorized person can act as a proxy, on the production of authorization letter in the form.
