KCET 2017 Seat AllotmentKCET 2017 Seat Allotment – KEA has published KCET 2017 seat allotment result for the casual round on August 08, 2017. Candidates whose name are mentioned in the allotment result have to make the fee payment and download admission order between August 9 and 10, 2017. Candidates, who have selected seat, not selected any seat, selected and cancelled/reported to the college in the previous rounds of KCET seat allotment were eligible to participate in the casual round. The result of KCET seat allotment for the extended round was published on July 30, 2017. The last date to report to the allotted college/institute was August 01, 2017. Students are allotted seats as per the ranks and choice preference. The second round of KCET seat allotment result was announced on July 17. The last date to make the fee payment and reporting at the allotted Institute for KCET seat allotment round 2 was July 22, 2017. The seat allotment process includes option entry, modifications, payments, seat allotment result, reporting of the candidates to the institutes. KCET seat allotment 2017 result for the first round of counselling was published on June 25. For KCET seat allotment, the seat matrix issued by the Government is followed. Nearly 220 institutes of Karnataka are offering admission to eligible candidates into 38 B.Tech/B.E courses. KCET 2017 Seat Allotment Process

The seat allotment of KCET 2017 is conducted online in three rounds. The seat matrix issued by the Government has been adopted for allotting seats to eligible candidates. Seats were allotted as per the merit based on the options entered by the candidates. Candidates can check round wise KCET seat allotment process below:

KCET 2017 Seat Allotment Process Round 1

The first round of KCET seat allotment was carried out based on the rank obtained by candidates in KCET 2017 and priority of choices. The seat allotment comprises of the following three phases:

Phase I- Seats allotted in the first phase got cancelled automatically if the candidates were allotted seats in the subsequent round. After the last seat and rank were reached, the seat allotment process was terminated.

Phase II- After the completion of seat allotment in the first phase, the seats that remained unfilled under rural and Kannada medium quota of the reserved categories was converted to General reserved categories. In this phase only reserved category candidates were considered for allotment and General Merit (GM) candidates. Candidates can check the conversion list from the table given below:

Phase III- 
After the allotment of seats in the second phase of allotment, the seats that remain unfilled under various reserved General categories such as SCG, STG, 1G, 2AG, 2BG, 3AG, 3BG, GMR and GMK, along with unfilled special category seats, if any, will be converted to the General Merit category and offered to GM candidates.

KCET 2017 Seat Allotment Choices

After the completion of the third phase of seat allotment process, the final list for the 1st round of KCET 2017 seat allotment will be announced. Candidates who have been allotted a seat have to opt one of the following choices:

Choice 1 Candidates satisfied with the allotted seat and willing to report to the allotted college. Such candidates will not be considered for further round of KCET seat allotment process. Candidates have to make payment of the prescribed fee through Challan and then download the admission order.
Choice 2 Candidates satisfied with the allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round. If candidates are allotted to higher option, the earlier seat gets automatically cancelled.
Choice 3 Candidates are not satisfied with the allotted seat and wish to participate in the next round by surrendering the allotted seat and re ordering the already entered options.
Choice 4 Candidates who are not satisfied with the allotted seat and do not want to be considered for subsequent round of seat allotment

Note: Candidates who fail to exercise any of the above 4 choices within the stipulated date and time, the allotted seat will be cancelled automatically. Such candidates will not be allowed to participate in further rounds of KCET 2017 seat allotment

KCET Seat Allotment 2017 Round 2

The unfilled/surrendered/forfeited/cancelled/newly added seats have been filled in the 2nd round of KCET seat allotment. Candidates who opted for choice 2 and 3 in the previous round were eligible to participate in this round. The allotment process is similar to the first round. However, candidates were not permitted to enter options again. The priority of options entered by the candidates earlier were considered in this round.

KCET 2017 Seat Allotment- Second Extended Round

The vacant seats after the 2nd round of KCET 2017 seat allotment, if any, will be filled in the extended round of KCET 2017 seat allotment. The seat allotment process in this round will be the same as followed in the previous rounds of seat allotment. Candidates will not be allowed to exercise any new options.

KCET 2017 Seat Allotment Fee

Candidates who have accepted the seat allotted to them have to pay the pay the requisite fee. Applicants have to download/print the Challan online. In the Challan, the details of the candidate will be pre-printed, such as Name, CET No, College / Course Allotted details, Fee to be paid, Bank Account Number. Candidates have to confirm the printed details and affix the signature on the Challan. After downloading the Challan, candidate have to pay the prescribed fee in any nearest branch of the Bank. The provisional fee structure is as given below:

Withdrawal of Allotted Seats

  • Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the first or the second round of KCET 2017 seat allotment wish to surrender the seat can do so before the commencement of the second extended round
  • Applicants can surrender their seats in any helpline centre. The fee amount will be refunded after deducting the processing fee of Rs. 5000
  • If candidates who have been allotted a seat in the first/second round surrender the seat after the completion of Second Extended Round, the entire fee paid will be forfeit
  • Candidates cannot withdraw their seat in the second extended round of KCET seat allotment. If any candidate fails to report to the college after allotment of seat, legal action will be initiated against such candidate in accordance with law
  • It is mandatory for each and every candidate to surrender the original admission order issued by the KEA, original Bank Challan, original Green Card and original Verification Slip to get their seat cancelled.

  • The mock seat allotment of KCET was done for candidates who registered for KCET 2017 counselling and have filled in their options online
  • The mock seat allotment is indicative in nature and it will help candidates to revise, add or delete the earlier entered options.
  • Candidates could check their mock seat allotment result be entering their CET number.
  • Candidates, who were not allotted any seat in the Mock allotment were required to verify the options and were also advised to enter more options as per their preference.
