JEE Main Paper Analysis 2017JEE Main Paper Analysis 2017 – The JEE Main 2017 Paper 1 exam held successfully on April 2. Candidates who appeared in the exam found Physics and Mathematics were tough in comparison to Chemistry. According to experts JEE Main 2017 was comparatively easier than the last year. Many test takers who took the exam for the first time said that majority of questions from Physics were numerical based that puzzled them during the exam. While, the Mathematics sections had many questions had complex calculation that consumed most of the time. The questions from Chemistry were comparatively easier and based on concepts and formulae.

Based on the JEE Main 2017 paper analysis, experts suggest that expected cut off score of JEE Main 2017 will be around 110 for general category candidates.


Raman, for whom JEE Main 2017 is a second attempt, said, “I found paper to be comparatively easier than previous year. But this time also, questions from Physics and Mathematics sections were of similar difficulty level”.

Shrish another test taker from Delhi found overall JEE Main 2017 paper was easy but questions from Chemistry were tricky and complex. “Physics is my favourite subjects and I was comfortable with it. Maths was bit tricky but questions from Chemistry were more concepts based which consumed time. Topics included in this section were Organic Chemistry, Carbon Cycle and Inorganic Chemistry among others” he said.

JEE Main Paper Analysis 2017: Expected cut off likely to rise

The JEE Main 2017 question paper is easier as compare to previous year. And questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics sections were easier from the last year. Therefore, JEE Main 2017 cut off score will likely to be on higher side. The JEE Main 2017 expected cut off score for General category candidates will be more than 110 marks out of total marks 360.
