CBSE has announced the result of JEE Main 2017 exam on April 27. Kalpit Veerwal from Udaipur has created history by scoring 360 out of 360 marks in the exam. Kalpit is the first candidate to achieve the distinction of scoring 100 percentile in JEE Main. With his remarkable performance, Kalpit has set high standards for future JEE aspirants.
Kalpit, a student of Kota-based Resonance coaching institute, has had an excellent academic record. Kalpit comes from a humble background. While his father works as a compounder, his mother is a teacher in a government school. Kalpit’s brother is studying in 4th year of MBBS in AIIMS. In 9th class, Kalpit topped the Indian Junior Science Olympiad. In 10th class, he topped NTSE. Also, he was a topper of KVPY in 11th class. With such an exemplary track record, Kalpit’s excellent performance in JEE Main 2017 comes as no surprise to his teachers and parents. Having scored All India Rank 1, Kalpit is all set to realize his dream of studying in a top engineering college in India.
Considering the fact that the overall cutoff of JEE Main exam has come down this year, Kalpit’s performance becomes all the more special! For now, he is completely focused on JEE Advanced which is scheduled to be held on May 21.
While Kalpit has stolen the limelight with his remarkable score, there are other students too who have done exceptionally well. Mohan Abhyas from Hyderabad has secured 6th rank with a score of 345 marks. Among girls, Vrunda Rathi has topped with a score of 312. Vrunda is a student of L.V.H. College in Nasik and is also a classical flute player.
