The JEE Main 2015 online test held on 10 and 11 April 2015. Appearing students found the paper moderate as far as the difficulty level is considered. Lakhs of aspirants, who want admission in Engineering courses, appeared for this, CBSE conducted exam. The exam was of 3 hours duration that started at 09:30 AM and concluded at 12:30 PM. The paper had a total of 90 questions based on the subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. The Paper-1 was held for B.tech course aspirants. Out of all the 3 sections, students found the Physics section the most difficult.
The Physics section had a total of 30 questions and out of these only 5 questions were theoretical based and all the rest were numerical based. This section was the most time consuming and according to certain experts, the questions were ambiguous which in turn increased the difficulty level of this section and the overall paper. The Mathematics section on the other hand was found to be a bit lengthy by the students but it wasn’t that difficult as it was expected. Although, minor errors were also noticed by the appearing students in the Maths section. The third section, Chemistry was the easiest one as per the students. The questions asked from this section were all fact based and very less time consuming.
The paper will be marked out of a total of 360 marks, 1 mark each will be deducted for every incorrect response given by the examinee whereas 4 mark each will be rewarded for every correct response given. The offline exam was conducted on 04 April 2015. The result for the offline and the online exam will be held on 27 April 2015. While the All India Ranks will be announced by the conducting authority by 07 July 2015.
