JEE Advanced 2017 Rank ListJEE Advanced 2017 Rank List The rank list of JEE Advanced has been declared on June 11, 2017, along with the result. JEE Advanced rank list includes the category wise as well as All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates. The rank list has been prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. Candidates appeared in both paper 1 and paper 2  are included in JEE Advanced 2017 Rank List. However, only those candidates who meet the cutoff percentage declared for each subject and in aggregate included in the rank list. Candidates belonging to open category have to secure 10% or more in each subject and 35% in aggregate are included in JEE Advanced 2017 rank list. The rank list of JEE Advanced 2017 has been taken into consideration while preparing the opening and closing ranks for admission into the 23 IITs. How to Check JEE Advanced 2017 Rank List?

Candidates have to follow the steps given below to check the rank list of JEE Advanced 2017:

  • Click on the link provided on this page
  • In the login page, enter JEE Advanced 2017 registration number and date of birth
  • After entering the required credentials, click on the ‘Submit’ button
  • The rank list of JEE Advanced will appear on the screen
  • Download and take a print out of the rank list. Retain it safely for future reference

Minimum Marks for inclusion in JEE Advanced 2017 Rank List

Candidates have to obtain the minimum prescribed marks to get included in JEE Advanced rank list. Check category wise minimum marks required to qualify JEE Advanced 2017 from the table given below:

Tie Breaking Mechanism for JEE Advanced 2017 Rank List

In case, two or more candidates score equal marks in JEE Advanced 2017, the following tie breaking policy has been used to award ranks:

  • Candidates with better marks in Mathematics  has been assigned higher rank
  • If this does not break the tie, candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics  are assigned higher rank
  • In case the tie still exist, candidates are assigned the same rank

Highlights of JEE Advanced 2017 Rank List

  • Candidates have to appear in both paper 1 and paper 2 of JEE Advanced has been considered in the rank list
  • The rank list of JEE Advanced is prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam
  • For preparatory courses, the rank list has been prepared for SC, ST and PwD candidates in all categories who satisfy the relaxed criteria defined by the examination conducting authority
  • While preparing the rank list, candidates qualifying in more than one category are considered in all the categories to which they belong
  • The rank list of JEE Advanced has been prepared for only those candidates whose score is equal to more than the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and in aggregate
