Summary of JEE Advanced 2017

IIT Madras has conducted JEE Advanced 2017 for 2,20,000 JEE Main qualifiers, on May 21, 2017. The examination was held in two parts, from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon and 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm. Both the parts of the exam was conducted in offline mode and the result of it will be announced on June 11, 2017. The qualifiers will be allowed to participate in JoSAA counselling and seek admission in 23 IITs.


Latest Updates on JEE Advanced 2017

May 21, 2017- JEE Advanced 2017 held in offline mode

The examination conducting authority, IIT Madras conducted JEE Advanced 2017 in pen and paper based mode across 120 cities and India and 6 foreign countries. Paper 1 was held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and paper 2 started from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Both the papers of JEE Advanced 2017 was compulsory.

May 19, 2017- Refund of multiple transactions

IIT Madras has activated the portal for refund of multiple transactions made by candidates while registering for JEE advanced 2017. The aspirants of JEE Advanced 2017 need to provide their details like name, date of birth, mobile number, email address and JEE Advanced registration number. 

May 10, 2017- Admit card of JEE Advanced 2017 available for download

IIT Madras has issued the JEE Advanced 2017 admit card online for all candidates who have successfully applied for the entrance exam. Candidates can download the JEE Advanced admit card 2017 until May 21, 2017 (9:00 am).

 May 3 and 4- Registration for JEE Advanced 2017 with late fee

Candidates can fill the application form of JEE Advanced 2017 with late fee

May 02, 2017- Last date to register for JEE Advanced 2017

Candidates can apply for JEE Advanced 2017 till 5:00 pm

April 28, 2017- JEE Advanced 2017 Registration Portal Activated

IIT Madras has released the application form of JEE Advanced on April 28, 2017. The forms are only available online, until May 02, 2017.

January 05, 2017 – FAQs Video Available

On the official website, the candidates can now access the video for all the FAQs of JEE Advanced 2017.

December 20, 2016 – Availability of Information Brochure in Hindi

IIT Madras has also uploaded the information brochure of JEE Advanced 2017 in the Hindi language.

October 10, 2016 – Official Website for JEE Advanced 2017 is Now Functional

September 19, 2016 – Exam Date and Changes Announced by IIT-M

In a meeting, held on September 18, 2017, IIT Madras confirmed that it will be conducting JEE Advanced 2017 on May 21, 2017. Along with it, the conducting body also announced the following:

  • This year instead of 2 lakh, 2.2 lakh candidates will be allowed to take the exam.
  • The minimum marks in qualifying examination for SC/ST candidates has been decreased from 70% to 65%.
  • For OBC-NCL certificate new guideline by Ministry of Personnel has to be followed. The certificate should have been issued after April 01.

September 10, 2016 – JAB Confirms Admission of Foreign Nationals

Until now, there were talks that foreign nationals will be allowed to take the examination. However, now, Joint Admission Board (JAB) has confirmed that the candidates from the following countries may apply for JEE Advanced 2017.
