After a long wait, CBSE has finally declared the JEE Advanced 2014 Result on 19 June 2014 at 9 am. Through the result, admissions would be now made to 17 IITs and ISM Dhanbad of the country. Chitrang Murdia, who applied for IIT Delhi and belongs to Udaipur, Rajasthan excelled the JEE Advanced 2014 Result by scoring All India Rank 1 (one).
He topped the examination by scoring 334 marks out of 360 in the most reputed entrance examination of the country, JEE Advanced. Among girl candidates, Aditi topped with scoring All India Rank 7 (seven). She belongs to IIT Roorkee zone. In the top 100 candidates, she is one of the five girl candidates.
Third and eighth position are scored by Govind Lohati, a student of Allen Kota and Amey Gupta, student of the same institute. From Delhi, Srijan Garg has bagged the position of being state topper. He has obtained AIR 21 while from Mumbai, Karan Jain made it to the fame list by achieving JEE Advanced 2014 AIR 35.
JEE Advanced 2014 Exam was held on 25 May 2014 by seven zonal IITs. About 1.19 lakh candidates attempted the exam. Out of 1,26,997 registered candidates, a total of 27,151 candidates have qualified in the entrance exam. There are a total of 9,784 seats across 16 IITs and ISM Dhanbad this year for admission and allotment.

- It may be recalled that the choice filling for shortlisted candidates starts on 20 June till 5 pm of 24 June 2014.
- Candidates, who desire to apply for admissions to the B.Arch courses offered at some of the IITs, are required to appear for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT-2014) to be conducted on 26 June 2014 at seven zonal IITs.
