IPU CET 2017 SyllabusIPU CET 2017 Syllabus will be announced by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The question paper will consist of questions from the prescribed syllabus. It consists of three sections viz. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (For Bio-Tech). Each section of the syllabus has multiple units from which questions will be asked in the entrance test. IPU CET 2017 Syllabus:

For the entrance test, candidates have to cover the syllabus prescribed for class XI and XII under the 10+2 Scheme. Candidates can check the distribution of total no. of questions in each subject for both B.Tech and B.Tech (Bio- Technology) from the table given below:

For B.Tech (CET Code- 131)

IPU CET 2017 Exam Pattern

Along with IPU CET 2017 Syllabus, candidates must also be well acquainted about the pattern of the entrance test. It will develop an understanding of the mode of the examination, weightage of marks, marking scheme, duration etc. It will help candidates to cover syllabus in a more productive manner. By knowing about the exam pattern, Aspirants will be able to gear up for IPU CET 2017 in a more effective way. Candidates are advised to go through the format of the examination given below.

Total number of papers: Candidates appearing for IPU CET 2017 have to write only one paper.

Mode of Entrance Test: GGSIPU will conduct the test only in the offline mode, i.e. it will be a pen and paper based examination.

Medium of Paper: The exam will be held only in one language. All the questions and instructions in the test paper will be written in English.

Total number of subjects: The question paper will have questions from the following subjects:

  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Mathematics
  • Biology or Bio-Technology ( For only B.Tech in Bio- Technology)

Type of questions: The test will comprise of objective type multiple choice questions.

Total number of questions: The test paper for B.Tech will consist of 150 questions. For B.Tech in Bio- Technology, 200 questions will be asked.

Total number of marks: total marks in the test paper of B.Tech is 600 whereas B.Tech the total marks in Bio- Technology is 800.

Marking scheme: Each question will carry four marks. For every incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted.

Duration: The written test will be of two and a half hour duration. For B. Tech in Bio- Technology, the test will be of three hour duration.
