The seats are also reserved for Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jammu & Kashmir, Eight NE States, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands domiciles. Candidates seeking admission under these reserved categories need to produce their documents/certificates issued by the competent authority at the time of counselling. Any candidate who fails to produce their documents will not be categorised under the reserved categories. The documents will be verified at the time of admission process. IMU CET 2017 Reservation of Seats

All the candidates who wish to apply under the reserved categories must go through the percentage of seats reserved for each category. It is compulsory for all the candidates to hold the Citizenship of India.

  • Scheduled Caste candidates will be given 15% of the total seats for eligible candidates.
  • Scheduled Tribe applicants will have 7.5% of the total seats
  • Other Backwards Classes with Non-creamy Creamy Layer (NCL) will have 27% of the total seats in IMU
  • A total of 3% of the seats is reserved for Differently Abled (DA) candidates wherever applicable.

ST/SC Candidates – The ST/SC applicants will also have 5 % relaxation while calculating the aggregate marks. Candidates applying under these two candidates must submit a certificate in original in the application form from district Magistrate or any other designated officials of the State Government where the authority must issue the certificate where the parents of the candidate if alive/if not surviving the candidate himself/herself lives.

OBC candidates – The Other Backward Class candidates will have to produce Non- Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate issued on or after January 1, 2017, by a competent authority in the prescribed format at the Counselling of IMU CET 2017.

It is compulsory for all the candidates to produce the certificates in the prescribed formats who have applied under these categories. Candidates failing to do so will not be eligible for admission.

IMU CET 2017 Reservation of Seats for other domiciles

Seats are reserved for all the other domiciled candidates who are applying for undergraduate courses. The total seats reserved for such candidates are given below. The seats are reserved in each of the IMU Campuses are as follows:
