HPCET M.Tech 2017 Application Form has been made available by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) in online mode. The candidates willing to apply must enter the details carefully before filling the application form of HPCET M.Tech 2017. The online registration will be available until April 29, 2017. The candidates must ensure that they satisfy certain eligibility criteria of HPCET set by HPTU. The candidates will be required to register themselves first. After the registration process, log in and fill the form as per the instructions. Aadhaar number is now mandatory to fill in the application form. The general candidates must remit the application fee of Rs. 1550/- and SC/ST/BPL candidates must pay Rs. 1400/- through online or offline mode using net banking, debit/credit cards or PNB challan. Requirement for HPCET M.Tech 2017 Application Form
Before filling the application form, candidates must keep the following ready:
- A valid and functional E-mail Id and Phone Number
- Internet Banking credentials or Debit/Credit/VISA/MASTER card details.
- Candidates who will be submitting the application fee via Challan must keep it ready.
- Scanned Photograph and Signature

Process to Submit HPCET M.Tech 2017 Application Form
The process to submit the application form of Himachal M.Tech 2017 is as below:

Registration – The candidates will have to register by submitting the following details:
- User Name
- Confirm Password
- Date of Birth
- E-mail ID
- Mobile Number
Once all the details are entered, a unique Application Number will be allocated to the candidates. It will be auto generated by the system and the candidates must secure it properly.
Login – Next, the candidates will be required to login by entering the generated User Name, Password, and Application Number.
Filling Details in Application Form – Following the step above, the HPCET M.Tech 2017 Application Form will be displayed. In it, the candidates will have to submit the following details:
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Aadhaar number
- Program opted for M.Tech
- Exam centre
- Sub category
- Date of Birth
- Bonafide/Domicile of Himachal
- Qualifying exam
- Permanent address
- Correspondence address
Uploading Photograph and Signature – After filling the details, the candidates will have to upload the photograph and signature. It should uploaded in the format prescribed above. It should be noted that if any of the document is not in the specified dimension, the HPCET M.Tech 2017 Application Form will not be accepted.
Note: Candidates should produce multiple copies of the photograph. They might be required to affix the same picture during the counselling or admission.
Application Fee Payment – It is mandatory to submit the application fee of Himachal M.Tech 2017. Fee payment has to be done after uploading of documents. The fee amount is Rs. 1550/- but the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BPL category are required to pay Rs. 1400/- only.
The fee amount can be submitted via following mediums:
- Internet Banking
- Debit/Credit Card
- PNB Challan
If the candidates choose to submit the fee via challan then they need to download it from the online portal and submit amount at the nearest PNB branch. After the payment, the Transaction Number will be entered in it by the bank. This is an important number and must be kept safe. Candidates will then be able to required to login after 2 days and enter the ‘payment details’.
On the other hand, if the candidates will choose to submit the application fee via online payment medium then they just need to click on the appropriate option. The window will be directed to the online payment gateway page of the respective bank and candidates will be able to pay the fee.
Note: Three copies of the PNB Challan are to be created. One copy is for the bank, one for HPTU, and one for the candidate. The candidates must keep their copy safe, as it is the proof that they have submitted the fee and might need it in future.
Submitting the Confirmation Page: When all the steps above will be completed, the confirmation page will generate. The option to edit the details will also be provided at this stage. The candidates check all the details and if the error is detected use the edit option to correct it.
However, if the candidates are satisfied with the submitted details they should click on the ‘Final Submit’ button. The candidates will then have to download the displayed confirmation page. In the download page, a column will be given for parents signature. Candidates must ensure that the signature is done in the right place and then scan it. The scanned copy of the confirmation page must be e-mailed at – firstname.lastname@example.org.
