GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2017 has commenced from April 16, in online mode. Candidates have to appear for the entrance examination as per their respective slots. The last date of GITAM GAT 2017 examination is April 30. Through GITAM GAT 2017, candidates will be offered admission to 10 undergraduate engineering courses and around 2000 B.Tech seats will be filled by GITAM University.
The question booklet of GITAM GAT 2017 contains 100 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. From Physics and Chemistry section, there are 30 questions each, whereas, Mathematics section includes 40 questions. Candidates have to complete the entrance test within two hours. As per the GITAM GAT exam pattern, every correct answer carries 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
GITAM GAT 2017 is being conducted across 48 exam centres across the country. The candidates are allotted GITAM GAT exam centres as per their preferences made in the application form.
The result of GITAM GAT 2017 will be declared on May 5 in online mode. Result will display the scores and rank secured by the candidates. After declaration of the result, merit list will be separately published by the authority.
The shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling process, and will be allocated seats as per their ranks and preferences of courses and colleges. GITAM GAT counselling 2017 is expected to commence from April 25. If any vacant seats are left the University will conduct second round of counselling.
As per the admission criteria, 25% seats in the institutes will be reserved for meritorious students belonging to the state of Karnataka.
