What is GATE Cutoff 2018?

The GATE Cutoff is the minimum marks which candidates have to score in the examination for admission into M.Tech/ME courses. Candidates will be selected based on the prepared GATE cutoff 2018. GATE cutoff score for PSUs recruitment: The PSUs will also determine its individual GATE cutoff. The PSUs will recruit candidates for various positions in IOCL, BHEL, GAIL, HPCL, ONGC, DRDO, DMRC etc. However, candidates should note that some PSU will consider the GATE score of candidates, whereas, some will determine the GATE Cutoff 2018 as per the normalised score.

As per the last year information, top recruiters such as BHEL and IOCL had released the cutoff through GATE. The vacancies for BHEL recruitment were 50. Selection was on the basis of the GATE 2017 scores

GATE cut off score for IITs admissions:

Qualifying GATE 2018 will not ensure admission in Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs). Each institute will determine its own GATE 2018 cutoff for admission. The admission in IITs will be done on the basis of cutoff determined by individual institute. Candidates who have the required cutoff will get admission in the IITs as per the availability of seats in the particular course and institute.

GATE cut off score for NITs admissions

NITs and CFTIs will grant admission through Centralized Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan (CCMT). The cutoff for each institute as per the previous year has been provided on this page. GATE scores for CSIR Fellowship

GATE qualified candidates with BE/ will be qualified are eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Laboratories and CSIR sponsored projects. After joining as JRF-GATE, candidate may pursue M.Tech as a part of PhD programme, where their thesis semester (last semester) should be spent at the CSIR laboratory relating to lab specialization in order to keep the continuity for the Ph.D. programme.
