GATE 2017 result has been announced on March 26 by examination authority Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. Candidates can check GATE 2017 result through GOAPS by entering enrollment id/email address and password. Along with the result candidates can also download their GATE Score Card. The Score card of GATE 2017 contains canadidate’s registration number, subject appeared, marks obtained in the GATE paper, qualifying marks and the rank of candidate if qualified.
The GATE 2017 Score Card will be valid for a period of 3 years for the candidates who have qualified the entrance test. The candidates can download their score card until May 26, 2017. If any candidate fails to download the score card than he/she can obatined the same on payment Rs 500 until December 31, 2017.
The result and scorecard of GATE 2017 has been declared for those candidates who have scored the cut off score. Based on the GATE 2017 cut off score candidates can either apply for M.E./M.Tech/ Ph.D. admissions in IITs/NITs/CFITs, and other universities or recruitment purpose in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like BHEL, GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, etc.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 was conducted on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2017, was held in 195 cities across 680 examination centres in 26 States And Union Territories of the country. More than 9.23 lacs candidates appeared in GATE 2017 for admission this national level test which was held in online mode. The exam was conducted for 23 papers.
The GATE 2017 score is calculated based on the normalisation formula (standard deviation method). The normalisation is mainly applied to obtain raw scores for papers like ME, CE, CS, EC and EE which was conducted in multiple sessions.
