As per the order of Hon’ble Supreme court of India, EAMCET 2014 Special Counselling was held on 5 and 6 November 2015. Counselling was conducted for 135 colleges, of Telangana only. Statistic of counselling showed very poor intake of candidates, as seats are still vacant in almost all of the colleges.
Due to Andhra and Telangana agitation, events of EAMCET 2014 suffered. EAMCET 2014 was held on 22 May 2014. Result of it was delayed and was issued on 9 July 2014. Then dates for counselling were not been announced for a long time. EAMCET 2014 special counselling was second counselling for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test 2014 yet it did not yield expected result.
In 66 colleges upto 15 admission took place. While in rest of the colleges, admission were close to none. Various colleges wind up their operations shortly after the start. It is assumed that that out of 45,293 seats, under convener quota, 42,178 seats are still vacant. Almost 3,261 students were present for counselling and 3,115 opted for online counselling, still such huge number of seats remain unfilled.
Seeing this condition, Hon’ble Supreme court of India has ordered that another round for counselling shall take place. Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) is ordered to submit report of next counselling till 31 December 2014.
