WBJEE Topper 2017WBJEE Topper 2017 – The WBJEE 2017 result has been announced on Monday, June 05. Debaditya Pramanik of Birla High school, Kolkata, bagged the first position and topped the merit list of WBJEE. The top 10 merit holders in WBJEE includes six students from CBSE, one from Indian School Certificate (ISC) and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) Board each. The top ten rank holders in WBJEE 2017 also includes one female candidate.

 

Out of the total number of candidates who have qualified the entrance test and have been included in WBJEE 2017 merit list, 47% hails from CBSE Board. Check Board wise total percentage of qualified candidates from the table given below:

A total of 1,00,433 candidates has qualified the engineering stream. WBJEE 2017 was a pen and paper based examination held for admission to nearly 104 engineering institutes in the state of West Bengal offering approximately 36,288 B.Tech seats.

As per various newspaper reports, since there was negative marking scheme in the entrance test, candidates who have scored above zero will be eligible to participate in WBJEE 2017 Counselling. Candidates have to register themselves online and pay the required fees. Seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of their rank, preferences of colleges and courses provided they fulfill the eligibility norms defined by the Board for admission.

WBJEE 2017 result has been released online in the form of rank card. Candidates can check and download WBJEE result 2017 with their application number and password.
