In the seat allotment process, the candidates will be allotted seats according to the merit rank oft the candidate. For Seat Allotment of WBJEE 2017 process, the candidate will have to register only in the first round. The seat will be allotted in three rounds, as per the choices of seats filled by them. The filling and locking of choices will be done in the first round. Candidates can get a printout of the allotment letter from the website. After the seats will be allotted, candidates will be required to arrive at the reporting centre along with the relevant documents for the verification. WBJEE 2017 Seat Allotment Procedure

After successful online registration and choice filling, the candidates will be allotted seats during WBJEE 2017 Counselling. The admissions will be granted in three rounds of seat allotment. Check the procedure of seat allotment below.

First Round of WBJEE 2017 Seat Allotment

On the basis of the merit rank in WBJEE 2017 and choices filled by the candidates, WBJEE Seat Allotment 2017 will be done. The result for the allotment of seats will be uploaded on the website. No individual seat allotment letter will be sent to the candidates. It must be downloaded from the official website and must be printed.

Candidates who will be allotted seats in the first round of WBJEE 2017 Seat Allotment, will be required to report to the reporting centre for the completion of admission formalities. In case, the candidates fail to report to the venue will lead to cancellation of provisional seat allotment and will not be considered for subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

The candidates must carry all the relevant documents along with the provisional allotment letter. After the successful Seat Allotment of WBJEE 2017, the candidates can opt for the up-gradation or no up-gradation of seats. Selecting up-gradation means, the seat allotted in the first round will be preserved. However, the candidates will be eligible for the seat allotment procedure in the subsequent round of WBJEE Seat Allotment 2017.

The candidates who will select no up-gradation option, the candidates must report to the allotted institutes. The allotted institutes will accept only those candidates who will report to the reporting centre and will opt for no up-gradation.

Second Round of WBJEE 2017 Seat Allotment

For the second round of Seat Allotment of WBJEE 2017, no fresh registrations will be done. The choices filled by the candidates in the first round will be considered. The registered candidates who will not get seats in the 1st round will be eligible for the second round.

Also, the candidates who will be allotted seats in the first round and reported to the venue but, due to unsatisfying of eligibility criteria their seats were cancelled. Such candidates are eligible for the second round.

The candidates who opted for the up-gradation in the first round of Seat Allotment will be eligible for this round. And, the candidates who opted for no up-gradation will also be eligible for the second round WBJEE 2017 Seat Allotment.

Third Round of WBJEE 2017 Seat Allotment

As per the second round of counselling, the candidates will be allotted seats in the third round. The candidates who will be allotted seats for the first time will be required to report at any reporting centre for the provisional Seat Allotment of WBJEE 2017. The candidates who will be granted admission must report to the allotted institute to complete the admission formalities. If there will be seats vacant under SCPH, STPH, BCAPH and BCBPH category, after the 2nd round of seat allotment, then it will be directly converted into OPPH category. However, even after that, the seats will be left vacant, then the categories will be converted as following.

The authority will follow the conversion process until the seats in SCPH, STPH, BCAPH, BCBPH, SC, ST, BCA and BCB categories become zero.
