Q1. What is the eligibility criteria?

Ans. The eligibility criteria is a pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology (PCM/PCB) Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) candidates are eligible for all the programmes Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatcics and Biotechnology programmes.

Q2. What should be the age limit of the candidate?

Ans. Candidate should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Q3. What are the courses offered under B.Tech?

Ans. The courses offered under B.Tech are;

Q4. Is it a state-level exam or an All-India level exam?

Ans. It is an All-India level exam.

Q5. What is the last date for receipt of filled in forms?

Ans. The last date for sale of forms is First week of may 2012

Q6. When is the exam to be held?

Ans. The exam is to be held in last week of May 2012.

Q7. What is the admission procedure?

Ans. Candidates who are interested in pursuing Engineering studies can either download the Application Form from the website or approach the Admission Cell at the Corporate Office at the following address to enquire about the various courses.

Q8. What all documents are to be enclosed with the application form?

Ans. The filled-in application should be accompanied by the following documents :

  • An attested photocopy of X pass/ Matriculation/ Secondary School Certificate issued by the Board of Examination.
  • An attested photocopy of the Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination
  • Transfer Certificate from the institute last studied in/ Migration Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate
  • Community Certificate
  • Three passport-size photographs
  • Any other documents required by the University

Q9. What documents should foreign students enclose?

  • Ans. No Objection Certificate from the Government of India (issued by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi)
  • No Objection Certificate issued by the Ambassador of the country where the candidate hails from or the competent authority empowered to grant permission to stay and pursue education in India
  • Eligibility Certificate from the University
  • Appropriate Student Visa.
  • All relevant travel documents inclusive of passport
  • Necessary Health Certificate and Vaccination Certificate

Q10.What is the cost of application form?

Ans. Application form can be obtained from the University office in person on payment of Rs.500/-, or by post on payment of Rs.600/- by Demand Draft

Q11. In whose favour is the DD to be made?

Ans The DD is to be made in favour of “Vinayaka Missions University” payable at Chennai / Salem.
