The Allotment of Seats will be done in five rounds. The second and third round of seat allotment will be only for ST/OBC and SC candidates respectively. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Techincal University will release the counselling dates. For UPSEE 2017 Seat Allotment, candidates need to register first by using the Application Number, Password and Security Pin. UPSEE 2017 Seat Allotment Schedule (Tentative)

For the convenience of candidates, given below are the tentative dates of announcement of results.

Procedure of UPSEE 2017 Seat Allotment

The procedure of the seat allotment will be the same for each round, which are as follows:

Allotment of Seats and Document Verification Round 1- After the registration will be done, the candidates will have to report to the allotted centre for document verification. The Result of Seat Allotment will be announced for Round 1 in the 1st week of July 2017. Candidates can either confirm the seat or can withdraw the seat. Confirmation of seat will be done by paying the fee of Rs. 20,000/- for general candidates and Rs. 12,000/- for SC/ST/OBC category candidates, paid through Net Banking, Debit/Credit Cards only. Candidate can use the Float option, if they are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them and can appear in the second round.

Round 2 of Seat Allotment of UPSEE 2017- A candidate who fails to participate in the first round can appear in the second round of counselling. 2nd round of UPSEE 2017 Seat Allotment will be done mainly for SC/ST/OBC category. Candidates have to register first and fill the choices of college and course. In this round, the vacant seats of subcategory will be merged into vertical categories. GL/AF/FF/PH category candidates will be into existence. Candidates who opted for Float option in Round 1, do not have to register again and will be considered automatically for 2nd round.

The document verification will be done same the first round, only for the newly registered candidates. After that, seat confirmation options will be chosen by candidates as per their decision.

UPSEE 2017 Seat Allotment Round 3- Round 3 for UPSEE 2017 Counselling will be done only for SC candidates. However, the General/OBC/ST category candidates will remain into existence. The same procedure will be followed for the registration and seat allotment. Only the registration fee will be of Rs. 12,000/- paid by the SC candidates. Any SC candidate who opted for Float option will be automatically considered for this round.

The document verification will be done at any of the verification centres for newly registered candidates.

Seat Allotment of UPSEE 2017 Round 4- The fourth round of UPSEE 2017 Seat Allotment will be done for General Category candidates only. All the vacant seats of SC/OBC candidates will be for merged with General category seats. Fresh registration of the candidates who did not participate in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd round of Seat Allocation of UPSEE 2017. General/SC/OBC candidates who opted for ‘Float’ option in the 2nd round can participate in this round without registration.

Confirmation or Withdrawal of a seat will opt by the candidates after the document verification. In this round, the options will be different. Freeze without Upgrade meant that the candidate is satisfied with the seat offered and do not want any up gradation of seats. Freeze with Upgrade means that the aspirant is satisfied but want an up gradation in the 5th round.

Downloading of Provisional Letter & Reporting to the Allotted College

Aspirants, who confirmed the seats allotted to them, will have to download the Allotment Letter and tale a print-out of the same from the website.

With the print-out of the Allotment Letter, candidate will have to report to the allotted college with the remaining amount of fees and other relevant documents (original and a set of self-attested photocopies). The registration fee submitted during registration will be transferred by the university to the allotted institute.

If a candidate fails to report to the allotted institute, the seat will automatically get cancel. The registration fee will not be refunded to the candidate.

Round 5 of UPSEE 2017 Seat Allotment- No need for registration the fifth round of counselling. Only following candidates will be eligible for the fifth round.

  • All the candidates who opted for ‘Freeze with Upgrade’ option in round 4 and have reported to the allotted college for admission.
  • Candidates who participated in Round 4 but will not be allotted seats and have opted for ‘Float’ option.
  • Candidates who will not be allotted seat in any of the earlier rounds but have not opted ‘Withdraw’ option in any of the earlier rounds.

In case of those candidates who will not be allotted any seat in the entire Seat Allotment process, the entire fee submitted by the candidate during the counselling registration will be refunded without deduction.
