TNEA 2012 FAQS

Q1. What is the eligibility criteria?

Ans. The eligibility criteria is 12th board/HSC. The admission will be done on the basis of 12th Board exam.

Q2. What is the criteria for reservation of seats?

Ans. The criteria for reservation of seats is as follows:

  • For Tamil Naidu students :- 100% seats reserved ( Based on TNEA 2012 score )
  • For other states :- 49 seats reserved in Anna University only ( Based on TNEA 2012 score

Q3. What is the date for sale of application forms?

Ans. The date for sale of application forms is 1st Week of May 2012

Q4. What is the last date for receipt of forms?

Ans. The last date for receipt of forms is last week of May.

Q5. The DD is to be drawn for what amount?

Ans. The DD is to be drawn for Rs. 700 for general candidates and for Rs. Rs.450/- in case of SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu

Q6.  In whose favour should the DD be drawn?

Ans. All the Demand Drafts  should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary (TNEA), Anna University Chennai” payable at Chennai.

Q7. How can the forms be obtained in person?

Ans. The forms can be obtained in person for Rs. 500 for general category and for Rs. 250 for reserved category.

Q8. Where are the filled in forms to be sent?

Ans. The filled in forms should reach by registered post / speed post to: The Director,
Admissions, Anna University Chennai, Chennai – 600 025
