SET 2017 Exam Pattern

The format of the test is defined by SIT, Pune. Every candidate who is preparing for SET 2017 must have an understanding of the pattern of the question paper. Details about the exam pattern is given below:

Mode of exam: The entrance test will be held in the offline mode.
Type of Questions:The paper will consist of objective type multiple choice questions

Total number of sections: The paper will have questions from the following three sections:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics

Total number of questions: The paper will consist a total number of 100 questions. The distribution of questions in each section is given below in the table:

Marking Scheme

  • The question paper will be of 200 marks.
  • Physics and Chemistry section will be of 25 marks each whereas the mathematics section will be of 50 marks.
  • For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 2 marks.
  • No marks will be deducted for incorrect answer.

Duration: The paper will be conducted for a total duration of 150 minutes.

SET 2017 Exam Centres

SET 2017 is scheduled to be conducted on May 06, 2017. The examination will be held in various cities situated in different states of the country.
