About SCSVMV 2012:
The Maha Swamiji of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam had cherished a desire to revive Kanchipuram to its pristine glory as a center of learning. The Viswa Mahavidyalaya at Kanchi was established with the benign Blessings of Their Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji and Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji and it attained the status of Deemed University in 1993. Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya, formed under the aegis of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Charitable Trust in 1993, is located in a sprawling complex of 50 acres at Enathur, at a distance of about 4 Kilometres from Kanchipuram. Ranking of Candidates:
Selection of Candidates for admission to all the Degree courses will be based on the Merit lists prepared by SCSVMV University, based on the marks arrived at by adopting the method of normalization. Ranking of the candidates will be done based on the normalised marks (rounded-off to three decimal places) arrived at, to a base of 100.
For B.E. Degree Course
Admission is based on the marks secured by the candidates in the prescribed subjects, in the qualifying examination [i.e. for HSC Academic: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and normalizing them by the prescribed procedure.
Equal weightage will be given to all the three prescribed subjects. Wherever separate marks for practicals are awarded, the same will be considered along with the respective subjects, for arriving at the total actual marks and hence the ‘normalized marks’.
For Candidates Applying for Admission to B.E. Degree course through AIEEE 2012
Admission for Candidates applying to B.E Degree course through AIEEE 2012, will be based on the actual merit marks secured by them in AIEEE 2012 (All India Engineering Entrance Examination), and a separate merit list prepared for them. For such Candidates, the normalization procedure is not applicable.

The Merit Lists will be displayed on the notice board of the Office of Admissions, SCSVMV University, and the same will also be made available in the official website www.kanchiuniv.ac.in No separate announcement will be made in the newspapers.
Admission Procedure 2012:
Admission to all courses is based on the merit, category of the candidates, and the availability of seats at the time of counseling.
At any time, if the SCSVMV University authorities find that admission has been offered based on false/ incorrect information/ documents and suppression of relevant facts, education qualification, the admission offered or the admission already completed shall be cancelled, irrespective of the stage of study of that course. Further, legal proceedings will also be initiated against such candidates for such action /(s). Hence, Candidates are warned against indulging in such action/ (s), in their own interest. All parents are also requested to make note of the above provision, and take due care and diligence, in all matters concerning admission to the various professional courses
