SAAT 2012 FAQS

Q1. What is the eligibility criteria for admission?

Ans. The eligibility criteria for admission is as follows: Pass or appearing (in the year 2012) at 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics along with one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology OR Pass in Diploma programme in Engineering / Technology with less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Q2. Is it a state level exam or an All-India exam?

Ans. It conducts a national level exam called SAAT.

Q3. What is the reservation criteria for seats?

Ans.  Reservation of seats is as follows :

  • 65% seats filled on the basis of SAAT 2012 score
  • 35% seats filled on the basis of AIEEE 2012 score

Q4. What courses are offered under B.Tech?

Ans. The following courses are offered under B.Tech:

  • Civil Engineering (CE)
  • Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)
  • Electrical Engineering (EE)
  • Electronics & Communication Engg. (ECE)

Ans. The last date of availability of forms in the month of March 2012

Q6. What is the last date for submission of forms?

Ans. The last date for submission of forms is last week of March 2012.

Q7. When will the exam be held?

Ans. The exam will be held in the first week of may 2012.

Q8. When will the results be out?

Ans. The results will be out on last week of May 2012

Q9. What is the cost of application brochure?

Ans. The cost of an application brochure is Rs750/- (in person by cash) and Rs. 800/- by post.

Q10. In whose favour is the DD to be drawn?

Ans. The DD is to be drawn in favour of SIKSHA O ANUSANDHAN UNIVERSITY, Bhubaneswar, Payable at Bhubaneswar.

Ans. The application form can be obtained from :
