  • Eligibility and Admission Procedure
To get admission in undergraduate program you must have passed Higher Secondary Examination or 10+2 from any recognized Central / state board.
And you have to passed JEE Entrance Exam
*Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) for admission to the undergraduate programmes in engineering would be conducted in two parts, JEE-MAIN and JEE-ADVANCED. JEE MAIN is the entrance test for admission to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs . JEE MAIN will also be the first screening step in shortlisting the eligible candidates for JEE ADVANCED. JEE ADVANCED is the entrance test to be taken by the IIT aspirants. Apart from the scores obtained in the JEE MAIN and JEE ADVANCED, marks obtained in the Class XII Boards also have a role to play in the final merit list.
Weightage for class XII/ Board Marks:
Weightage is being given for the XII board/equivalent marks - though the percentage of weightage varies with the types of Institutes. The board marks will be normalized on percentile basis through an appropriate formula.

  • Anand Tiwari created a new topic What GRE/GMAT score is acceptable? in the forums.

If you talk about the “acceptable” score in GRE/GMAT for application to business schools then it should be added that it does vary from one to the other. If you are planning to get into an MBA program that is ranked low, you might be asked for just 400 points.
If you are interested in some higher ranking MBA program, you might be facing a requirement for an acceptable score of around 650 and for that matter; it may also go beyond that. Candidates that appear to have failed when it comes to a smart demonstration of their ‘other’ skills such as those in teamwork, professionalism and leadership, may find the acceptable score a bit strict on them.
Remember, if you have an “acceptable” GMAT score, it really doesn’t assure you of admissions. It is more or less like what they call an average GMAT or GRE score. However, it should also be noted that it does not allow denial of your applications either.

  • Shubham Watta replied to the topic Advanced in the forums.

    Hi Ankit,

At 220 marks, you will most probably secure more than 80 percentile (According to previous trends) .. you should focus more on preparing on marks and not on percentile as this is not in your hand...

The sentance "Similarly, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination i.e. 2nd PUC or 10+2 prior to 2012 NEED NOT APPLY." is under MBBS/BDS eligibility criteria.... they have not mentioned anything under engineering sector though
