IIT JEE 2014 Cutoff will be decided by the governing body of the exam, IIT Kharagpur after the declaration of exam result. The exam board delimits the number of candidate intake in the admission process by deciding a minimum score. This minimum score decides the eligibility of the candidates for further process of admission in engineering degree programs in IITs and ISM Dhanbad. The minimum score is called cutoff. In order to be eligible, candidates are required to score marks in the result, either above to the IIT JEE 2014 Cutoff or equal to it.
Candidates who are able to get the desired marks above cutoff will be called for counselling process after inclusion in the merit list. Scoring lesser marks than the IIT JEE 2014 Cutoff will lead to disqualification. Each year, cutoff is decided based upon a number of factors viz. number of applications, exam difficulty level, marking scheme and last year cutoff. The Rank which corresponds to the cutoff score will be called as cutoff rank. To calculate the approximate rank, candidates can submit their exam marks in the rank predictor.
It gives an estimate of the rank that a candidate might obtain in the entrance exam. Using the rank predictor is fairly easy and fast where a candidate have to just enter the marks details in the field. Based on previous year IIT JEE 2014 Cutoff, an algorithm would be run by the predictor to give rank estimate. Exam score can be calculated using the answer key which can be used to match the answers given by them to key. Answer key would be released by several coaching institutes on their respective websites after the conduction of the exam. The rank predictor can be used for referring last year IIT JEE 2014 Cutoff rank of the colleges they want to choose in the option filling round of counselling. This comparison will realistically help them to analyze their chances of getting desired college.
