CBSE 2013 Results
Results can also be seen at: http://cbseresults.nic.in/ - the official website. All the candidates will be waiting for CBSE Results 2013 with more eagerness as compared to the earlier years as this year the Board Marks will have far reaching implications. Due to introduction of One Nation One Test norm, the candidates’ marks in CBSE Results 2013 will not only be the determinant of their Class XII performance but will play a key role in their selection to the topmost engineering colleges of the nation.
As per the newly introduced exam pattern for admission in various Central, State and other Centrally Funded Institutions including IITs; the admissions will be done on the basis of JEE Main 2013. The final merit of JEE Main will be calculated by giving 60% consideration to JEE Main Score and 40% CBSE Results 2013.
Further, only top 1.5 lakh candidates of JEE Main will be allowed to take the entrance exam of IITs; JEE Advanced which will also have to be in top 20 percentile window of their respective boards. Hence, the CBSE Results 2013 will be a major determinant of admission in colleges across the nation. This scheme was introduced keeping in mind that in order to prepare for various entrance exams candidates don’t pay much attention to their Board Exams and only try to earn the marks for satisfying minimum educational criteria of various exams.
But now, after the introduction of new scheme of giving 40% consideration to CBSE Results 2013 in final merit calculation, the candidates have to pay more attention to Board Exams too. Also the HRD Ministry introduced this norm so that the students don’t have to apply for numerous exams and don’t have to waste their time and money in the process involved.
However, owing to the difference in evaluation schemes of all the Boards, the results of all Boards including CBSE Results 2013 will have to be normalized prior considering them for final merit. Candidates will be notified as soon as the Board announces the normalization criteria and CBSE Results 2013.
