I would like to disagree with Jack. Mathematics and Computing is 75% Maths and 25% CS.. With a degree in M&C, you will be elligible for jobs in the financial sector, but its nowhere close to holding a degree in CSE.. Yes, if you are graduating in M&C from DTU you can expect to get placed.. But, if you don't like Maths from your heart, don't go for it.. At the rank you are expecting, you will get other core branches at lower NITs like durgapur which also have fantastic placements.. Its not that everyone gets a 10 lakh package from DTU or IITs.. many end up with 4 too.. However, with a core branch in lower NITs, getting 6 or 7 will not be tough..
I am providing the link for M&C(B.Tech) Syllabus at IITG.. Since DTU's M&C is also conducted by Department of Mathematics, they too will have a similar syllabus..
See.. most topics are from Maths.. So.. if you don't like Maths that much to do your entire degree on it, go for other branches at lower NITs..
