Assam Engineering Collegeis one of the oldest and reputed engineering college in the country. It was established in 1955 as the first undergraduate engineering college in the northeastern India. The college is affiliated to Guwahati University. Assam Engineering College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi. It conducts courses in the field of engineering, at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, as per the rules and regulations of AICTE. Eligibility:

Undergraduate:

The candidates must have passed in 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, from any recognized Board.



Post Graduate:

ME / M Tech

The candidates should have done BE / B Tech in related discipline, from any recognized University.



MCA

The candidates should have done graduation with Mathematics/Statistics or any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level.



Doctorate:

M Tech Degree in relevant field is mandatory for admission to the research program.

Admissions are done on the merit basis determined by the Joint Admission Test conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.
