Established in the year 1995, the Nirma Institute of Technology, Ahmedabad or NIM as it is popularly known was founded by the well-known industrialist and philanthropist Dr. Karsanbhai K.Patel, Chairman of the Nirma Group of Industries. The NIM, Ahmedabad is a premier institute of technology in the country today.
The students and faculty members, both have worked hard since the inception of the institute which in-turn has paid some rich dividends. This hard work of the staff and students has made the Nirma Institute of Technology one of the most preferred institutes of higher education in the country. The students of this institute have been continuously securing top ranks in the University examinations.
The Nirma Institute of Technology doesn't only excel academically; it also encourages the students to take part in extra-curricular activities/ competition and win prizes. The students who pass-out from this famous institution have been placed at some of the top organizations in India and abroad. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The candidate should have cleared 10+2 examination with Science as the main subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Post Graduate:
The candidate must have Bachelor Degree in B.Tech.
MCA
The candidate should have Bachelor Degree under (10+2+3) pattern from a recognized University.
Doctorate:
The candidates should have a master?s degree or equivalent like PGDM with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Those are appearing for their final examination may also apply.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admission is based on the merit of 10+2 examination by centralized admission committee framed by the Government of Gujarat. 50% seats are free seats whereas the remaining ones are payment seats beside NRI seats. For the Lateral Entry admission for 15% seats are provided after diploma to second year by the centralized admission committee organized by the Department of Technical Education Government of Gujarat.
Entrance Test: Lateral Entry, GUJCET
Post Graduate:
The admission for this program is based on the merit.
