MHT CET 2017 CounsellingMHT CET 2017 Counselling: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra will conduct the Counselling of MHT CET 2017 tentatively in the month of July 2017. Applicants will be shortlisted for the counselling on the basis of score obtained in MHT CET 2017. The Counselling will be conducted through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admission into various B.Tech programmes in around 366 State Government Colleges, University colleges, Private Unaided colleges and Government Aided Private Colleges in the state of Maharashtra. The Counselling of MHT CET 2017 will be conducted in two rounds. Candidates shortlisted for admission on the basis of score obtained in MHT CET 2017 have to register online to participate in the counselling. Instructions for MHT CET 2017 Counselling

Candidates have to go through the following steps to successfully register for the Counselling of MHT CET 2017:

Registration

Candidates have to click on the link that will be provided here and click on “New Registration” button and select their nationality.

Fill up the Registration Form

In the form, candidates have to enter the following details and select a password:

Personal Details

  • Candidate’s name
  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Gender
  • Religion
  • Mother tongue
  • Annual income of family

Communication Details

  • Address
  • Mobile number
  • Email ID

Select Security Question

  • Security question
  • Security answer

Create a Password

Candidates have to follow the rules given below while creating the password:

  • The password must be between 8 to 13 characters
  • It should contain at least one upper and one lower case character
  • It should have at least one number and a special character

Candidature Category Details

As per the domicile, applicants have to choose any one of the following categories:

Maharashtra (Type A): Candidates who are domiciled/ born in Maharashtra and have qualified class X and XII/ Diploma/ B.Sc. From the state of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra (Type B): Candidates whose either of the parent is domicile of Maharashtra state.

Maharashtra (Type C): Either of the parents of the candidates must be an employee of the Government of India or undertaking of Indian Government. He/she must have been posted and reported for duty in the state of Maharashtra before the last date of submitting the Application Form of MHT CET 2017 counselling.

Maharashtra (Type D): Candidates whose father/ mother is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or state undertaking.

Maharashtra (Type E): Candidates must have qualified class X or XII/Diploma/ B.Sc. From a recognised institute situated in a disputed Maharashtra- Karnataka Border Area. The mother tongue of the candidates must be Marathi.

OMS: Candidates who belong to states other than Maharashtra.

J&K Migrant: Students who have migrated from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The applicants must be of the following type: J-1 Type/ J-2 Type/ J-3 Type

NRI: Candidates who are Non-Resident Indian

PIO/OCI: Students who are Persons of Indian Origin or Overseas Citizen of India

Foreign Students: Candidates belonging to foreign countries

CIWGC: Candidates who are ward of Indian workers in Gulf countries

GoI: Applicants who are nominee of Government of India

Qualification Details: In this section, candidates have to enter their academic information. They have to enter the subject wise and overall marks obtained in class X and XII or any equivalent exam.

Exam Details: At this step of registration for MHT CET 2017 Counselling, candidates have to enter the exam details of MHT CET 2017 or JEE Main 2017, whichever applicable, through which they are seeking admission.

Uploading of Scanned Images: Applicants have to upload their passport size photograph and signature. Before uploading, candidates must ensure that the images are clear and identifiable. After selecting the images, candidates must click on the ‘Preview’ button before uploading the images. The specification of the images are as given below:

Payment of MHT CET 2017 Counselling Fee

Candidates have to pay the requisite counselling fee amount to participate in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) of MHT CET 2017. The fee structure for the different category is given below:

Important Documents for MHT CET 2017 Counselling

After the successful registration for the Counselling of MHT CET 2017, candidates have to report at the facilitation centre in person and produce two photocopies of the following documents as well in original for verification:

  • Class X mark sheet and pass certificate
  • Class XII mark sheet and pass certificate
  • Admit Card of MHT CET 2017
  • Score card of MHT CET 2017
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Admit Card and Score card of JEE Main 2017 (For candidates applying through JEE Main 2017)
  • Character certificate
  • Migration certificate
  • School leaving certificate
  • Domicile of Maharashtra (if applicable)
