COUNSELLING PROCEDURE
A) Come prepared for counselling
Ø Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements given in Manipal University Prospectus 2012.
Ø Documents Check Lists
o e-Hall Ticket
o 10th standard marks card for proof of date of birth
o Marks card of 10+2
o Conduct and Character certificate obtained on the School/College letter head/pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
o Transfer certificate or School/College Leaving Certificate issued by the School/College. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
o Four recent and identical passport size photographs and one stamp size photograph
o Two set of photocopies of all the above documents
IMPORTANT NOTE: All the candidates are required to produce the above mentioned original documents for verification. In the event of admission, University will collect one set of photocopies of these documents. The original documents should be submitted on the day of commencement of classes and University will retain these documents till the completion of the courses.
B) On the day of counselling
Ø The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counselling, he/she may authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counselling. This representative must carry the authorization. CLICK HEREfor the authorization letter format.
Ø Only the candidate/representative will be allowed into the counselling hall.
Ø Candidate should fill the registration form available at the registration counter.
Ø Candidates will be called as per their MU-OET 2012 rank for biometrics and document verification. The original documents will be returned back to the candidate after verification. However, the original documents should be submitted on the day of commencement of classes. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available in the respective campus. Such candidates should pay the first year fees at the counselling.
Request for extension of dates for payment of fees or submission of original documents for verification will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Ø Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.
Ø The choice of course made by the candidate/representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.
