LNMIT Jaipur is offering 90 more seats based on AIEEE, IIT-EML in December

December Admission- 2009

Our Academic Council has approved December admissions. The admission will be based on the AIEEE and JEE ranks only. We will equate AIEEE and JEE ranks. Since there were 8025 students in the main merit list of JEE, EML rank 1 will be considered as overall JEE rank of 8026, and will be considered as equivalent to the AIEEE rank of 8026.


Number of Seats : We will be offering 90 seats for December admission. Admissions will be done based on the merit list prepared on your rank. Those who had applied for July admission based on JEE EML ranks will be considered automatically and they need not apply again, though they can add information about their AIEEE rank to their application, if that was not provided in the original application.

The Program Structure : Students have to do a full 8 semester program. We will try to restructure the program to the extent possible in order that students admitted in December do as many courses together with students admitted in July. Where it is not possible due to pre-requisite requirement, courses may be offered separately for the December batch.

How to Apply

All students who have a rank in the extended merit list of Joint Entrance Examination conducted by IITs and have secured rank in AIEEE are eligible to apply. To Download the form, Click here and follow the instructions given in the form to apply. Last date to apply is 15th November, 2009.

Possibility of Credit Transfer

Students who would have completed one semester at another institution may get credit transfer for some courses in which the curriculum is similar, teaching quality has been high, and the students performance has been good. DO NOT dep on it. It will be done on a case to case basis by a committee of faculty members in that area after admission. We cannot guarantee credit transfer prior to admission. At the time of seeking admission, you should be prepared to sp. 8 semesters here to get the degree.

Summer Courses

The Institute does offer summer courses, and one may be able to do up to two courses in each summer. But we cannot guarantee that courses that a particular student would like to do in a summer will indeed be offered. It may happen that the courses offered in the summer are those which you have already passed, or you are not interested in them. So DO NOT dep on doing extra courses in the summer.

Extra Courses:

The Institute rules also provide limited opportunities for doing an extra course in a semester. But it is often difficult for an average student to take overloads in each semester. All other students in LNMIIT are as good as you are, may be even better. So whether you can do extra courses on overload and still manage your academics is not obvious. Also, rules regarding overload are liable to be changed during the program. So, again, DO NOT dep on overload to pass extra courses and graduate in 7 semesters.

In summary, Institute provides some mechanisms to fast track your program, but we want you to think of it as a 8-semester program, and not dep on graduating early. After you join, if you find that you can manage a faster pace, and you can find relevant courses being offered in summer, and some credits can be transferred from wherever you have spent the first semester, you may graduate early. But be ready to sp a full 8-semester here at LNMIIT, if you are seeking admission here in December.

Fee Structure :

One time payment:

1. Caution Money (refundable at the of the program) is Rs. 8,000.
2. Admission fee is Rs. 3,000.

Per semester ges:

1. Tuition fee is Rs. 51,000.
2. Registration fee is Rs. 3,000.
3. Hostel fee is Rs. 10,000.
4. Mess establishment ge is Rs. 1,000.
5. Mess ges are on actual basis. Current ges are Rs. 59 per day. An advance payment for the mess needs to be made. The amount is Rs. 7,500. It will be adjusted against the exact mess bill.

Students are, therefore, expected to pay Rs. 83,500 at the time of admission.

Out of the amount payable, Rs. 7,500 should be paid through a demand draft in favor of “LNMIIT Hostel Mess” payable at Jaipur, and the rest of the amount (Rs. 76,000) should be paid through a demand draft in favor of “LNMIIT” payable at Jaipur. Institute will not accept payment through cash or a check, including at par checks.

Please note that staying in the hostel and joining mess is compulsory for all students. The Governing Council of LNMIIT reserves the right to review the fees and ges from time to time. Normally, such reviews are done annually.

Important Dates:

Result for December Admissions- 2009 will be announced on 20th November, 2009. Please visit the website again to know the last date to deposit the fees.

Documents to be brought at the time of admission:

The following documents need to be brought at the time of admission for our verification. You should also bring one copy of each of them for our records:

1. Proof of Date of Birth
2. Marksheet and certificate of passing class X.
3. Marksheet and certificate of passing class XII. (If the result is not out yet, the admission will  be provisional, subject to passing the qualifying examination and submission of result by 30 th  September, 2009.)
4. AIEEE or JEE admit card
5. Proof of rank in AIEEE or JEE.
6. Allotment letter issued by CCB (only for those who are getting admission through    first three rounds of AIEEE counseling).
7. Two passport-size photographs
8. Two demand drafts of amounts mentioned above.
