Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET-2012)

The Directorate of Technical Education, Govt of Goa has invited applications for admission to following first year professional degree courses of session 2012-13 through common entrance test (GCET 2012) and applicable to the Govt, Govt-aided and un-aided colleges in Goa offering bachelor’s degree in the fields of Architecture, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine (Allopathic and Homoeopathy) and Pharmacy

Medicine (MBBS); Dentistry (BDS); Engineering (B.E.); Pharmacy (B.Pharm); Architecture (B.Arch); Homoeopathy (BHMS) in the institute of Goa Medical College; Goa Dental College and Hospital; Goa College of Engineering; Padre Conceicao College of Engineering; Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Info Tech; Don Bosco College of Engineering; Goa College of Pharmacy; PES’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy; Goa College of Architecture; Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET-2012) Eligibility

Candidates who have already passed/have appeared or are appearing at HSSC (std XII science) or equivalent examination, before the start of the academic session, are eligible to appear at GCET-12

All candidates desirous of seeking admissions to degree courses in Architecture must appear and have a valid score in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted on-line by Council of Architecture

An applicant to degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry and Homoeopathy must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year of admission to become eligible for admission to first year

Applications Form: Prospectus shall be available at notified places on payment of Rs 400/- in cash (extra service charge notified payable to designated branches of notified Bank)

Outstation candidates can obtain the prospectus and application form by sending request to Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Alto-Porvorim, Goa-403521 along with a demand draft of Rs 400/- payable in favour of Director of Technical Education at Panaji

Candidates may utilize downloaded application form-A for appearing at GCET-12 and submit the same in person at notified application reception centre as per centre opted, along with a demand draft of Rs 400/- (towards the prospectus fee) and the test fee of Rs 550/- by demand draft payable in favour of Director of Technical Education at Panaji-Goa, drawn on any scheduled bank and three identical photographs as indicated, and other relevant certificates (self-attested photo copies) to obtain the photo-admit card, from the admission committee

Completed applications are to reach Chairman, Admission Committee, Directorate of Technical Education, Alto-Porvorim, Bardez, Goa-403521 on or before the specified date

Sale of prospectus with GCET-12 and admission application forms: 19th March, 2012, Monday to 05th April, 2012, Thursday

Start of receiving of application forms for GCET-2012 (Form-A) at application reception centre: 26th March, 2012, Monday

Last date for receiving forms for GCET-2012 (Form-A) at application reception centre: 05th April, 2012, Thursday

Last date to collect admit card from application reception centre: 05th April, 2012, ThursdayDates of GCET-2012: 09th-10th May, 2012, Wednesday/Thursday

Result of GCET-2012 (expected): 21st May, 2012, Monday
