Admission and Scholarship Policy- Year 2011 at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus


Admission and Scholarship Policy for BITSAT Candidates

Candidates who have secured an overall aggregate of 80% and above in Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects in the Qualifying Examination (12th Grade or equivalent), with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and having a score of 200 and above in BITSAT will be eligible for the following:

a) Admission in the discipline of their choice at Dubai Campus.
b) Scholarship based on BITSAT score:

1. >300 75% of Tuition Fee
2. 250 to 299 50% of Tuition Fee
3. 200 to 249 25% of Tuition Fee

* The above scholarship is applicable for first year of 2011 admissions (Academic year 2011-12) only. Subsequently, the students will be eligible for the merit scholarship of the institute as per the prevailing eligibility criteria mentioned therein.

Others:

1. Candidates availing the above BITSAT scholarship will not be eligible for for any other scholarship of the institute in the first year based on competitive exams or qualifying examination, mentioned under Admission instructions. But the candidates will be eligible for other scholarship/concessions declared by the Institute including for Sports Excellence, Sibling concession etc provided the total scholarship amount does not exceed more than 50% of the tuition fee amount of that semester.

2. All other fee related to Hostel, Visa, Insurance etc must be paid in full by these candidates.

3. The decision of the BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus Management will be final in all matters concerning the award of the above scholarship.


Admission and Scholarship Policy for JEE Candidates

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of admission to BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus and have secured marks of 200 and above in Joint Entrance Examination 2011 (JEE-2011) will be eligible for the following:

a) Admission in the discipline of their choice at Dubai Campus if the overall aggregate secured in the Qualifying Examination (12th grade or equivalent) is a minimum of 80%.
b) Scholarship based on IIT-JEE marks:

Admission and Scholarship Policy for AIEEE Candidates

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of admission to BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus and have an All India overall rank of 25000 and above in AIEEE-2011 will be eligible for the following:

a) Admission in the discipline of their choice at Dubai Campus if the overall aggregate secured in the Qualifying Examination (12th grade or equivalent) is a minimum of 80%.

b) Scholarship based on AIEEE Rank:
