Admission Schedule at IIST New Campus, Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram.
Admissions to 2010 batch will be held at IIST New Campus, Near LPSC, Valiamala (P.O), Thiruvananthapuram - 695547 on 28th and 29th August 2010.
- Candidates admitted to B.Tech Aerospace Engineering and Physical Sciences are required to report at IIST New campus for completing admission formalities on 28th August 2010 (Saturday) at 9.00 am.
- Candidates admitted to B.Tech Avionics must report on 29th August 2010 (Sunday) for admission at 9.00 am.
To enable students and parents to reach IIST New Campus for admission on 28th and 29th August 2010, bus facility has been arranged from various parts of Thiruvananthapuram city. The route of the buses will be as follows:
Buses start at 8.00 am from Aristo Junction (Thampanoor) and then follow - RMS office near the Central Railway Station >> East Fort (Opp. Ganapathy Temple) >> Statue (opp. Secretariat) >> Mascot Hotel >> Vellayambalam >> Kowdiar >> Peroorkada >> Valiamala.
The execution of bond, collection of certificates, medical checkup and preparation of Photo-identity cards for students etc. will be carried out as part of admission.
ATLEAST ONE PARENT SHOULD COMPULSORILY ACCOMPANY THE STUDENT.

Vaccination |
All admitted students will have to take a dose of chicken pox vaccination before coming for admission to IIST on 28th and 29th August 2010. The second dose of vaccination will be arranged by IIST within four weeks of first vaccination at the expense of the students. Students are also advised to take vaccination for Hepatitis A and B. |

In addition to the above items one scientific calculator and prescribed text books will be provided to each student.
Climate: Climate in Thiruvananthapuram is moderate. Generally there is no need to carry woolen clothes.
