102 Students Opted out IIIT Hyderabad after 4th round- Special 5th Round

There is a special 5th round of counseling for admission to remaining seats in UG programs at IIIT-Hyderabad.

To be considered for this round you have to go to the portal and give your consent to participate. If you are satisfied with the allotment that you have accepted, you have to do nothing and you can ignore this email.

If you have accepted a seat allotment and want a different program then you can participate in this special round of counseling.

If you (i) have NOT accepted a seat allotment, or (ii) have accepted and canceled a seat allotment, or (iii) have NOT been allotted a seat in any of the rounds, and ARE STILL INTERESTED in joining IIIT UG programs you can participate in this special round of counseling.

The details of programs and number of seats available is given below:

1. Four Year B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering: Closed (No seats are available)

2. Five Year B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering – Dual Degree:26

3. Four Year B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering: 18

4. Five Year B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering – Dual Degree: 16

5. Five Year B.Tech in Computer Science and MS in Computational Natural Sciences: 18

6. Five Year B.Tech in Computer Science and MS in Computational Linguistics: 10

7. Five Year B.Tech in Computer Science and MS in Exact Humanities: 14

Registration for programs 2. to 6. above:
All registered candidates interested in the programs 2. to 6. above must show their intent to participate by giving fresh choices in the portal.

Registration for program 7. only:
Since Five Year program in B.Tech in Computer Science and MS in Exact Humanities is a special program integrating humanities with computer science, those candidates who are specifically interested in this program must register for it in a separate portal.

The portal for registration will open on 28 July 2010 at 12 Noon, and will close on 30 July 2010 at 12 Noon.

Results for fifth round will be announced on website latest by 08:00pm on 30 July, 2010. Students allotted seats in this round must report at the institute on or before 4th August 2010 as the academic program is starting on 2nd August 2010.
