Q1. When is the exam to be held?

Ans. The exam is to be held on last week of April 2012

Q2. When will the results be out?

Ans. The results will be out on second week of May 2012.

Q3. Is it a state level exam or an ALL-India level exam.

Ans. It is an All-India level exam.

Q4. How many branches of engineering are offered under B.Tech?

Ans. 12 branches of engineering are offered under B.tech:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Bioinformatics
  • Biotechnology
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering

Q5. What is the eligibility criteria?

Ans. A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination in first attempt with 60% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 60% in Maths is Compulsory.

Q6. What is the maximum age limit for the exam?

Ans. The candidates should not have completed 21 years of age as on 1st July 2012.

Q7. What is the cost of application form?

Ans. The cost of application form is Rs. 750.

Q8. From where can the forms be obtained?

Ans. The forms can be obtained from:

Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the Admissions Officer, Karunya University, Coimbatore - 641 114, Tamil Nadu, India by sending a crossed DD drawn in favour of 'THE REGISTRAR, KARUNYA UNIVERSITY' payable at COIMBATORE (or) can be obtained in person at Jesus Call Centres and designated branches of Axis / TMB / Syndicate Bank /Central Bank of India / KVB / SBI.

Q9. In whose favour is the DD to be made?

Ans. The DD is to be made in favour of 'The Registrar, Karunya University' payable at Coimbatore.

Q10. What is the fee structure?

Ans. The tuition fee is Rs. 119900 per annum and hostel fee is Rs. 45000 per annum.
