JEE Main 2017 Exam CenterJEE Main 2017 Exam Centres – The official JEE Main Exam Centres 2017 has been announced by CBSE. This year, the number of national centres has been reduced from 124 to 104. However, Dhaka has been added in the category of the international centres, increasing the total number of foreign centres from 8 to 9. Hence, in all there will be 113 JEE Main 2017 Test Centres. In almost all the national Exam Centres of JEE Main 2017, the exam will be held in Pen and Paper and Computer Based mode, on April 02, 08, and 09, 2017. The candidates are required to submit the choices for the Exam Center of JEE Main, during the application form filling. Total four choices for the centre can be submitted, for both P&P and CBT paper, but only one will be allocated to the candidates. Latest update in JEE Main 2017 Exam Centre

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notification in respect to the rectification of JEE Main 2017 exam centre address. Candidates appearing for JEE Main in the online mode on April 08 & 09 must note that the address of the venue of one particular exam centre is wrongly printed on the admit cards. The correct address of the JEE Main 2017 exam centre along with the roll number series of the candidates who have been allotted that centre is given below:

JEE Main candidates falling under the roll number series mentioned in the table must ensure to download the revised JEE Main 2017 admit card from March 21 by clicking on the link provided above.

JEE Main 2017 State Code of Eligibility 

The State Code of Eligibility is that code for the state from where the candidate has passed class 12th/equivalent. The candidates will be required to submit the State Code of Eligibility while submitting the JEE Main 2017 Registration. Hence, to assist candidates we have mentioned the code and various factors pertaining to it below.

  • During the form filling the state from where class 12th has been qualified has to be entered under the State of Eligibility.
  • However, if the candidate has passed 10+2 from a state but appeared for improvement in another state then they must submit the code for the state from where they have qualified the exam.
  • Indian nationals, who qualified the examination from a foreign institute, shall submit the State of Eligibility that will be determined on the basis of permanent address in Indian, as mentioned in the Passport of the student.
  • NIOS students will have to select the State of Eligibility as the state where their study centre was located.
  • For the candidates of Nepal/Bhutan/Foreign/OCI there is no State of Eligibility.

Important Instruction about JEE Main 2017 Exam Centres

  • Candidates must opt for either online or offline mode of exam.
  • Candidates will be able to choose 4 centre options. However, if there are only 2 centres in the candidate’s state then they will only be able to opt these two centres.
  • Candidates are advised to select the 1st preference of Exam centre nearest to their residence.
  • Any requests for change of centre will not be entertained after the submission of the JEE Main 2017 Application form.

  • If the number of candidates for Computer based examination is less than 50 in a city on a particular date, the candidates will be allotted the last day in the same city to appear for the JEE Main 2017.
  • If there is an increase in the number of candidates opting for a particular city as the centres of examination for Computer Based Examination or Pen and Paper Based Examination of JEE Main 2017, a different city in a nearby area may be allotted.
