  • JEE Main 2017 Paper 1 question paper consisted of 30 questions each from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • The level of the questions in this entrance test was as prescribed by CBSE.
  • In the Physics section, the questions were easier as compared to last year. Questions from Chemistry was balanced and equal.
  • Questions from Chemistry was balanced and equal weightage was given to Physical, Inorganic and Organic Chemistry.
  • However, there were no questions from topics like the State of Matter, Chemistry in Everyday Life.
  • The mathematics section was overall good, 2-3 questions were lengthy, but there were also few direct questions.

JEE Main 2017 Cutoff by Aakash

Along with the JEE Main 2017 exam analysis by Aakash, the expected cutoff of the exam for General Category will be 100 (+ or – 5). The cutoff will be available for reserved and non-reserved category candidates. Last year, the JEE Main cutoff marks for OBC was 70, 52 for SC, 48 for ST and 100 for General. Majorly on the basis of the difficulty level of JEE Main 2017, the cutoff is expected to rise or fall, compared to previous year. The JEE Main 2017 cutoff will act as a base, which will be considered for shortlisting 2,20,000 candidates to appear for JEE Advanced and for admission to IIITs, NITs, GFTIs and other Institutions.
